OBAMA JOINS NRA

President Obama shocked Americans today by announcing that he has joined the National Rifle Association.
Amid conservative anger over President Obamas proposals to ban assault weapons as part of a drastic overhaul of US gun control laws, the president said that he was going to join the NRA.

“I’ve always loved guns and I have a over twenty guns in my personal collection,” the President reportedly said.
A White House aide showed WWN the President’s gun collection:

Asked in a magazine interview whether he had ever fired a gun, Mr Obama said he fires a gun regularly.
“Up at Camp David, we shoot all the time,” he reportedly said. “And I have a profound respect for the traditions of gun owners that trace back in this country for generations.”
The announcement shocked both Republicans and Democrats.  “I’m confused.  I thought he was trying to ban guns,” said Arizona Senator John McCain.

Democrats were angry.  “This is a serious blow to our cause,” said Senator Diane Feinstein, who introduced gun legislation in the house.

Wayne LaPierre, the President of the NRA, said he was proud to have President Obama as a member.  “We are going to present him with a signed 9mm gun when he comes to our meeting in Las Vegas next month.”
This man also welcomed President Obama to the NRA:

Mr Obama’s plans for tighter firearms regulations were drawn up by Joe Biden, his vice-president.  Vice President Biden said that he was against guns, until Barack Obama said he was for them.  “I’m going to join the NRA as well,”  Biden told WWN.

  1. I've got to say it. Obama may be the best politician in history. Romney did have better puppy-dog eyes!
He's trying to divide the NRA.
Don't kid your self, If upon death if property is forfeit to government, It is just slow confiscation.
Apparently semi auto is the new full auto.
i would welcome any amendment to the constitution that would grant freedom;but, support nothing that take away freedom. I would perfer to see every american 16+ dead then to lose the bill of rights! (i'm 28)

  2. The paranoid No Rational Approach people, known as the NRA have got to get past the idea that whenever someone says "gun control" they are not talking about taking away all their guns. Controls does not mean elimination. Controls means elements of licensing, training requirements for licensing, serious restrictions and followthrough on who can get guns, who can sell guns and what they can sell, prohibition of military type automatic weapons. Just as we do for driving, drunk driving etc. Would this stop all the tragedies like the Newtown tragedy or all the daily murders that take place all over the country? No, but they might over time result in at least a reduction and that would make all efforts worthwhile.
We need training requirements before buying a gun, we need age limits, we need better psychiatric observation and testing, we need restrictions on who can sell guns and we need to prohibit military type automatic and semiautomatic weapons that really have nothing to do with hunting or self defense. And we have stop fooling ourselves that just because we have a gun we are really safe.
No single action will do it all. Just as deaths from AIDS have been reduced from a cocktail of medications, deaths from guns has to be from a combination of many approaches. A most positive thing would be for the NRA to put their money and members in a more constructive modality.

    • Think about … they aren't coming for our guns… they are coming for every future generations of guns.
Just like we have spent the next generation money.
once again..if upon my death my firearm is forfeit it is just a slow confiscation.
