Mayan archaeologists met in Guatemala and confirmed the end date for the Mayan Prophecy is December 21, 2012. That’s when the world will end.
Archaeologists reportedly reviewed a newly discovered 1,300 year-old Maya text that provides only the second reference to the “end date” of the Maya calendar on December 21, 2012. The discovery, one of the most significant hieroglyphic find in decades, was announced at the National Palace in Guatemala. Al Gore was in attendance, representing the United States.
“This text talks about ancient prophecy,” says Marco A. Comito, Director of Tulane’s Research Institute and co-director of the excavations at the Maya ruins of La Corona. “This new evidence suggests that the 13 Bak’tun date was an important calendrical event that would have been celebrated by the ancient Maya,” says Comito.
Archaelogists from Rutgers University in New Jersey and the University of Rome went on to say that the end date for the world is clearly stated in the hieroglyphics.
“They knew how long the world would last and they were extremely confident about the apocalypse. They were much more advanced they we are today,” said Professor Katya Malley of Rutgers. ”I wouldn’t make any long-term plans. There’s no need to buy Christmas presents.”
The archaeologists gathered at “Site QQ” in Guatemala. Site QQ is the source of many looted sculptures whose whereabouts had remained a mystery until its rediscovery only fifteen years ago.
In 2012, archaeologists excavated in front of a building that had been heavily damaged nearly 40 years ago by looters looking for carved stones and tombs. “Last year, we realized that looters of a particular building had discarded some carved stones because they were too eroded to sell on the antiquities black market,” said archaeologist Tomas Barbarinto, “so we knew they found something important, but we also thought they might have missed something.”
In fact, in 2012, excavations not only recovered 10 more discarded hieroglyphic stones but also something that the looters missed entirely—an untouched step with a set of 12 exquisitely carved stones still in their original location (in total, 22 carved stones were recovered). Combined with the known looted blocks, the original staircase had a total of no less than 264 hieroglyphs, making it one of the longest ancient Maya texts known, and the longest in Guatemala.
Several archaeologists said that the discovery of newly carved stones not only have great historical importance but these new stones offer the final definitive proof that the world will end.
“There have been a lot of reports and editorials stating that the Mayan prophecy is a hoax or that the predictions will prove to be false, but almost all the predictions of the Mayans have come true. If you were a betting man, you’d bet on the world ending. I am,” said Professor Malley.

the world will end but not on this date. it will end when jesus will come and gather his perfected saints and go into heavenly places. then the seven year tribulation will be started and after the seven years of tribulation jesus will come to gather the martyrs.and then the 1000 years millenium will start and all of us will come again to this world and rule in this world for a 1000 years. only then will god destroy this world.
Personally I googled the dooms day just to see how people are reacting and I must say. It is quite entertaining. If anything were to happen on Dec 21 it will be mass hysteria because of people being scared and attacking their neighbors, friends, and possibly family. I really don't think anything is going to happen that will massively affect the whole planet at once. The people who believe in the dooms day should all be put in one building and let them dook it out. The media and all the astronomers and all of them make it out to be something you have to spend alot of money on for bunkers, extra food, gas masks…your getting sucked in and when you have no money and nothing, but extra food stored away that will take you forever to eat. Also, ask yourselves this question: If I believe in dooms day, why wouldn't I believe in God? You would think if the world would "end" you wouldn't be praying for all those you love and cherish and think of them for a split second before your time comes. We all die, it's the fact of Life, but Dec 21st will not be that day. If you look forward to "dooms day" then maybe your life will end not long after that, you just never know! Until I see in hard proof writing from the highest official that the world will end next week, I am not a believer in "dooms day." We will never know if the world is going to end. If it was going to then we would not be told. The Mayans were in contact with Aliens who at the time they called gods. This is where many of the god myths we have today come from. Decemeber 21 2012 does not mean the end of the world. THis date is the date the aliens said they would return and the Mayans passed this informatoin through their history the only way then knew how. We will know we are not alone on the 21st but there is no reason to fear the end of the world.

Nobody know's when the world will end only the creator, not even the creators son Jesus knows. Only God knows. It could end any second, any minute, any day and you get the point. I don't care when it ends because I know where I'm going because I believe in Him.
I just want to say…if you are religious and read the bible maybe you aren’t doing the right thing after all!! I don’t believe in racism or sexism and I dont agree with those that are anti-gay or anti-abortion. The ‘God’ I believe in is a good ‘God’… he would never want anyone to be judged or hurt based on a bible. The bible is not ‘God’ speaking it’s an improper translation of some words from the past. If I believe in a caring, respectuful ‘God’ but don’t agree with the bible than what am I?’ I care about all people and animals.
