Mayan archaeologists met in Guatemala and confirmed the end date for the Mayan Prophecy is December 21, 2012. That’s when the world will end.
Archaeologists reportedly reviewed a newly discovered 1,300 year-old Maya text that provides only the second reference to the “end date” of the Maya calendar on December 21, 2012. The discovery, one of the most significant hieroglyphic find in decades, was announced at the National Palace in Guatemala. Al Gore was in attendance, representing the United States.
“This text talks about ancient prophecy,” says Marco A. Comito, Director of Tulane’s Research Institute and co-director of the excavations at the Maya ruins of La Corona. “This new evidence suggests that the 13 Bak’tun date was an important calendrical event that would have been celebrated by the ancient Maya,” says Comito.
Archaelogists from Rutgers University in New Jersey and the University of Rome went on to say that the end date for the world is clearly stated in the hieroglyphics.
“They knew how long the world would last and they were extremely confident about the apocalypse. They were much more advanced they we are today,” said Professor Katya Malley of Rutgers. ”I wouldn’t make any long-term plans. There’s no need to buy Christmas presents.”
The archaeologists gathered at “Site QQ” in Guatemala. Site QQ is the source of many looted sculptures whose whereabouts had remained a mystery until its rediscovery only fifteen years ago.
In 2012, archaeologists excavated in front of a building that had been heavily damaged nearly 40 years ago by looters looking for carved stones and tombs. “Last year, we realized that looters of a particular building had discarded some carved stones because they were too eroded to sell on the antiquities black market,” said archaeologist Tomas Barbarinto, “so we knew they found something important, but we also thought they might have missed something.”
In fact, in 2012, excavations not only recovered 10 more discarded hieroglyphic stones but also something that the looters missed entirely—an untouched step with a set of 12 exquisitely carved stones still in their original location (in total, 22 carved stones were recovered). Combined with the known looted blocks, the original staircase had a total of no less than 264 hieroglyphs, making it one of the longest ancient Maya texts known, and the longest in Guatemala.
Several archaeologists said that the discovery of newly carved stones not only have great historical importance but these new stones offer the final definitive proof that the world will end.
“There have been a lot of reports and editorials stating that the Mayan prophecy is a hoax or that the predictions will prove to be false, but almost all the predictions of the Mayans have come true. If you were a betting man, you’d bet on the world ending. I am,” said Professor Malley.

I was like alott of you are… Scared for myself and my sweet baby girl who is only 15 months old and I prayed and prayed for strength and forgiveness and a few days later I have this peace about it yes it concerns me still but I really feel if u believe in the lord Jesus Christ and have been saved then you simply cannot combine that love with anything else so truely the Mayan prophecy cannot be true when it states only god will know, the rapture will happen when god chooses.. He is king.. So happy and he is too to know there are so many believers in him out there.. wheres all the proof about god and the bible. well if you applied the same criteria as to the Mayans then you would acknowledge it. they have found a number of ancient cities named in the bible that had no reference anywhere in recent digs. they have found evidence of Abraham of the bible in recent digs. verified by non christian text from scribes and on documents written on tablets. names of currency and other names for people that were named in the bible and not found in any other texts have been unearthed. verifying their existence. Jesus is referred to in non christian writings. there are many archeological finds that reference things in the bible that have been found. if you look at the bible in the same way as we do other subjects then there is no denying the bible has some historical truth. people tend to react to the religious aspect instead and shoot it down because it gets personal. like the Mayan civilization the bible also talks about the end and this was written nearly 2000 years ago. it talks about knowing the end is near the same way you can tell a change is coming in the weather like a sense of somethings going to happen. a lot of people are feeling this way from many different beliefs. there have been movies about it and the net is full of different stories and events. society has been through this before thinking the world is going to end. global warming is in the news all the time and there are lots of weather events. the world is getting overpopulated and a lot of people are living in third world poverty. people are rising up and the young are getting out of control. i think its up to us whether we make changes to deal with whats happening or we continue to go on the same way.. we cant keep doing what where doing as something has to give. the question is if the world does end what happens after that . is that it nothing or some survive and rebuild or is there something else going on beyond what we see.

To me it all doesn’t make sense here’s why. To all you people who don’t think before u speak there’s a little thing called time zones so at no one point will the entire world be at December 21. Meaning if this were to be true in what area would the date have to be December 21 for the world to end . Also occurring the 21 of this month will be the winter solstice of 2012 marking the first official day of winter. During the winter solstice we will only experience 9 hours of daylight which is why this was the date chosen. I hope my comment served as a great help to those who fear we are in grave danger . Look people it’s this simple, the Mayan long calendar starts over on 12-21-12. It doesn’t end. No calendar ends, they just cycle through. There is no Mayan text that mentions the end or beginning of anything. When your calendar ran out of pages in 2011, what did you do? You went and bought a calendar for 2012. When it runs out of pages on the 31st your going to go buy a new one. This long count calendar was used to track the suns revolutions around the milky way. As well as the alignment of planets. There is no mythological, biblical, or scientific proof that the world will end on 12-21-12.
