PEMBROKE PINES, FL – Following a charity concert that served a buffet of criticism over her appearance, Jessica Simpson has turned to an old friend for support – Tonya!
The country-pop starlet has made her name on being a more wholesome alternative to her skin-flashing peers, but that has not stopped Simpson from playing up her looks and features. The media and audience members alike took notice during the charity event that there seemed to be more of Simpson, and more undercover than usual.
“Now, I’m not one to make fun of people, or kick them when they’re down,” gossip columnist Perez Hilton said in a blog post. “So all I’m going to say, all I’m going to point out, is that she had to wear two belts at that show. Two Belts. Two.”
Simpson reportedly took the blog post and media attention very hard. She had her mother place a call to Tonya, the World’s Fattest Cat, an old friend of the Simpsons.
“Tonya could not be more pleased that Jessica looked to her for advice,” Tonya’s spokeswoman said in a statement to reporters in Florida. “There is no one that has gotten more publicity, both good and bad, about her weight and size than Tonya. She is the perfect person to help Jessica through this private time.”
Tonya spent several hours with Jessica and her mother watching a screener of “Nights in Rodanthe” and eating low-fat diet Healthy Choice Rocky Road ice cream.
“It was a relaxing and fun night,” Tonya said through her spokeswoman. “I told Jessica that she is as beautiful as ever, no matter what people might be saying about her. She should never be ashamed of her looks or body and she should never let people make her feel bad about herself.”
“I told her ‘Big is Beautiful!’ ‘Fat is All That!’ and The Bigger the Better!’ We toasted with an Root Beer float.”

Who cares about her weight. She is still healthy and that is all that matters.
Women flip flop on the scale it's called being human and eating and just because Jessica is a celebrity shouldn't mean she has to be anorexic to please OTHER people. If she is happy with herself, she is happy with herself and other people shouldn't have a say in anything that she does.

The average size for a woman is a 10, 12… NOT a 16. Personally, I think it's funny that her sister and others are coming out and saying that it is demming for woman and what kind of message are we sending to little girls… and so on. Why is it they were not saying that when Jessica Simpson was half naked in Maximum or being labled a "sex symbol?" I love how they pick and choose. The fact of the matter is that, Jessica Simpson made herself a sex symbol and her carrer was never about her voice, if it was, she would not have lastest this long, it has been about her looks. She gained some weight… she and her sister, know how it is in Hollywood. If they don't like it, then GET out. But please, stop asking what message is this sending to young girls…. This is the problem. Believe me she did not get to where she is today by her singing voice alone. Jessica got there because of her looks! She sold herself as a dumb blonde bombshell. She had a thin waste line and big boobs. When her boobs weren't big enough when she first got started, she got bigger ones implanted. As American Idol proves to us is that singers are a dime a dozen. How many other young women with a better singing voice got passed over because she didn't have the look or to fat or not chesty enough? I say the sword swings both ways. How many ugly or just plain looking singers, who just sing, do you know?

I think she looks fine! She's not in"tip-top" model shape, but who cares!? It's sad that this is what America is focusing on. And who says a size 8 is "full-figured" anyway? I'm at my perfect weight for my age and height and I'm bigger than a size 8. My doc says I'm in GREAT shape, but apparently according to Hollywood I'm a few pounds from obesity..I think I like Jess more now than EVER!

I think Jessica looks great no matter what her size is. Why is it that curvy women can’t be seen as beautiful in the Western world?? I hate Hollywood and the media for what they do in our society. They feed you lies and superficial things. They make up false needs and exploit people for money. And all the women who are responding to these things by starving themselves and who are obsessing about their looks are encouraging this infernal cycle. How about LIVING for real while we are here and not obsessing over shallow things for once. Women were always society’s guinea pigs. A person’s worth should never be based on looks. So all you skeleton women who think that you need to weigh 110 pounds to look good and be worthy, please stop torturing yourself. Live, laugh, love and eat! I must say it is women who are more about their size then anything else. "I'm a size this, I'm a size that." You all must point out what size you wear. A size 8 for someone 5'10" is too thin. But of course as a typical female it is so important to point that out. It makes you a better person. Women point out that they they think they are fat so someone can turn around and point out "Oh, no you are so thin." If females could spend more time worrying about their intelligence and what they can do in life that might contribute more to society, the world may be a better place. It is women like you that turn your children into some body dysmorphic anorexic or bulimic. They think they have to live up to their "Mommy's" standards. That is not a positive reinforcement in any way, shape or form. Now I know some idiot is going to say that I must be writing this because I am overweight. No, I am not.
