Actually, I teach adult ESL students. The topic of work share load came up, and a Korean student said that in Korea, wife does 100% of the household chores. And I know a family friend who is forbidden to drive by her husband and has to have his permission and make sure he has free time to take her if she wants to go anywhere. She thinks it's great because it's like having a personal chauffeur. I think it's Stockholm syndrome.
