In advance of the big Victoria Secret Fashion Show, which is airing tonight, Nov. 30, on CBS, the company announced that they will be launching the first ever worldwide Victoria Secret Olympics
Justin Gelband is the trainer for the models. He has been called a “Model Whisperer” because he is getting all the women in shape for the big events. Here’s a shot of his 1500 yard-relay team:
Gelband believes that the American models will be able to defeat most models from other countries. “The only model we are worried about is supermodel Anna Hofverberg from Sweden. She’s an incredible athlete with a well-trained body and she’s very strong – she can throw the shot put a mile. She also holds the record for the fastest mile ever run by a model.”
Hofverberg will also face Candice Swanepoel, of the United States, in the first ever Olympic Model Cage match. Hofverberg is favored but Swanepoel has been training hard with Gelband. “Candice has some strong kicks and punches. It’s going to be a great match.”
Weightlifting will be a big part of the Olympics. Here’s Isabell Fontana lifting – easily – 200 pounds.
Gelband said yesterday he spent the past 12 weeks training the women for the Olympic qualifying rounds.
“I build a foundation for each woman. I find out who they are, what they do now and create a new program for them using fundamental exercise programs. I train them at a Mixed Martial Art studio in New York City. Each girl has her own specific type of workout. The movements and exercises may be similar in structure, but they are always geared specifically for each girl and her needs.”

We know you can’t wait for the Olympic games to begin. But meanwhile, here’s a preview for the Fashion Show tonight.
