NEW YORK, NY – Accusations have been lodged that Mulrog aliens tried to rig the 2009 Westminster Dog Show.
The above photo was snapped backstage during pre-show preparations. The competing bedlington terrier can be seen being primped by what can only be an extraterrestrial in disguise. Contest officials are charging that the aliens used the odd appearance of the breed to bring in their own genetically-modified “dog” to win the contest.
An anonymous dog handler told Weekly World News she knew something was amiss. “I went over to say hi to the bedlington and instead of turning its body to look at me, it turned its head 180 degrees! I got away from it as fast as I could.”
Another witness says he saw the animal briefly sprout opposable thumbs to open a dog treat container.
While the dog did not win, officials believe there are still grounds for misconduct. The Mulrog race responded with a statement via satellite: “We take these charges very seriously. It must be known that our species did not officially send anyone to the Westminster show. We have more important things to do than participate in your canine beauty pageant, such as continuing our 11,567-year war against the invading Orionites.
“However, if a Mulrog is found to have been involved, they should be viewed as a free agent and not backed by our empire. You may punish them as you see fit. But do send the dog back, he was quite expensive to deve- um, purchase…”
Dog Gone
Oh brother! Be real!
This was a great post! Just loved it. We have a Bedlington and I think maybe it's one of the Mulrog dog.
