ASTEROID TO DESTROY THE MOON ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2012

moon_destroyed

Scientists are keeping a close eye on a big asteroid that is expected to impact (and destroy) the Moon in September.

The space rock, which is called 2012 GD5, is about 790 feet wide. It is on a collision course with the Moon and will hit on the last day of September, 2012, unless NASA is able to deflect it away.

Talk about the asteroid was on the agenda during the 50th session of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), held earlier this month in Vienna.

A UN Action Team on near-Moon objects (NMOs) noted the asteroid’s repeat approaches to the Moon and the how it will directly hit the moon in two months.

The object was discovered in January 2012 by Mount Margo Survey observers in Tucson, Ariz. While scientists have a good bead on the space rock’s size, its mass and compositional makeup are unknown at present.

“2012 GD5 is the object which currently has the highest chance of obliterating the moon. However, we have only observed it for about half an orbit, thus the confidence in the exact day are not one hundred percent, but they are close,” said Detter Klonpon of the European Space Agency’s Solar System Missions Division in Noordwijk, The Netherlands.

“In our Action Team 17 discussions, we concluded that this is  a massive threat,” Klonpon told WWN.

“We are currently also in the process of making the world aware of this impending destruction of the Moon,” Klonpon said. “Without the Moon, the earth will be affected in devastating ways.  The tides will rise and the earth will spin out of its rotation.”

NASA is working overtime to figure out a way to deflect this asteroid, but it may be too late.

Read about a statue of Buddha that was carved 15,000 years ago from extraterrestrial meteorites was found by the Nazi's. The statue had a swastika carved in the middle of it. Fascinating story! http://www.educatinghumanity.com/2012/09/Iron-Man

We're all doomed! There's a myriad of things that any single one could kill us all. There's a high probability at least one will over the years. Will it be a zombie virus? Martial law and killing us in nazi concentration camps? Nibiru? Solar Flare? Nuclear? Mass depopulation by the killer psychopaths in control? Asteroids/comets? Earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes? angry aliens? EMP Weapon? Scalar Weapon (HAARP)? GMOs in food? Fluoride in the water? Gov Med Experiments? Smart Meters? Mind Conrol? Pharmaceutical Drugs?
    We're just F***ed!

  10. HEYY says:

    Please save the moon !!!

  11. Shelby says:

Such a tiny thing compared to our moon… the asteroid is only 790 feet across or something… our moon is way bigger. I think it's gonna be okay, guys. It gets hit by space rocks all the time.

    Nothing happen yet. LoL

nothing happens yet but we must pray to God when there really happens it would be end of us but we could cope things up right now for it doesnt happen yet i wish it is not

  16. Kenzie says:

This is stupid. I looked at more articles from this site and its like the Internet version of the national inquirer magizine. A bunch of made up unproven un-backed facts. Instead of getting paranoid and freaking out just laugh at it. And you should be praying all the time not just when u think your life is in jeopardy.

  17. Darren says:

Well its the 30th today an nothing’s happened yet
    Hope this thing is wrong

  18. mysteryman203 says:

if the moon is destroyed then yes all hope for mankind is lost however pay attention the asteroid is measured in feet so it's safe to assume that most people who read this would be confused about size sure an asteroid can wipe us out however the moon is way larger than 2.19 Hm or 219 m in fact the moon is 3471.94 Km so the impact would have to be the equivalent of a bb pellet hitting an apple at 100 Km per hour and obliterating the apple instead of going into the apple. sorry about my grammar

  19. Maria says:

Just trust God, only he knows if the world will end today! No one else knows, the asteroid may hit the moon, and affect a certain area of the earth, but we are with Jesus, and the ones with Jesus will be safe forever. Keep calm and pray, think positive. Jesus is with us.

  20. Kenzie says:

You are all skeptics.. Just enjoy life. I could have come up with a better article than this and your all still believing it? LOOK AT THE OTHER ARTICLES ON THIS SITE. The Capitol is supposedly painted like Homer Simpsons head… It’s obviously all not true.

  21. kingston says:

its bull shit all news from here

  22. Ben Lewis says:

Where’s the moon?! No joke I can’t find it!

  23. Vladmir says:

THIS JUST IN! In late breaking news, NASA reported that they were able to change the trajectory of the asteroid that was on a collision course with the Moon avoiding a catastrophic change to Earth's tide cycles and millions of peoples horoscopes. However, NASA officials concluded that some satellite communications may be affected due to software updates on Google Earth that had removed the Moon from the Earths orbit in anticipation of the event. A US Department of Defense spokesperson recommends that everyone go to work tomorrow, unless you're unemployed, in that case you may wish to remove yourself from the Earth as you are a drain on the taxpayers and the US economy.

  24. Terry Jones says:

Ridiculous! Yet, didn't hear any explosions!!!
