NEW YORK, NY – The girls of The View finally agree on something: how much they hate guest host Kate Gosselin.
Kate Gosselin is guest hosting The View, filling in for Elizabeth Hasselbeck who is on maternity leave. After only two days, the rest of the cast has joined together in how difficult it is to work with the insect woman mother of eight.
From the first minute on set Kate’s personallity could not help but shine through. Immediately she began ordering and organizing the other members of the panel into their places. No novice to television herself she instructed the camera operator how to catch her best side, and corrected the lighting designer. Shortly into filming Kate threatened to put Joy Behar into time-out for interrupting her. When Sherri Sheppard misquoted some facts about President Obama, Kate spent 5 minutes berating her ruthlessly in front of the cameras. The stunned audience shifted in their seats awkwardly the whole time.
Yesterday production was delayed by over an hour due to Kate’s behavior. Incensed at hwo they had been treated, the rest of the women on the panel refused to go on set with Gosselin. Kate, when told of the issue, said “Fine. Now they can’t screw it up.” and offered to host the show by herself. Producers worked feverishly to resolve the situation.
Whoopi Goldberg tried to negotiate with producers on behalf of the panel, asking that Gosselin restrain her behavior. Sherri Sheppard was heard from the Green Room shouting “That woman is Crazy!” When Gosselin came back stage to negotiate, things quickly became heated. Barbara Walters asked Gosselin if she wanted “to take this outside?” Forty-five minutes later an agreement was reached and taping began.
Producers have yet to decide if they will end Kate’s run on The View early to comply with the wishes of their cast, or extend her contract to see Barbara Walters throw a chair.

You're so right, this report is absolutely ridiculous. The entire cast seemed nothing but professional during Kate's time on The View, and I really enjoyed watching her. If you're not going to print the truth, don't print anything at all. If you have something against Kate, this isn't the way to handle it, you're just making yourself look dumb.

LOL — this is probably not true but it's very funny! What gave it away as snark? When you said that Kate corrected Sherri Sheppard on misquoting some facts about President Obama. Kate Gosselin only knows one subject well — and it's anything to do with KATE. She probably is aware that our President is Barack Obama, and that he and his wife only have a measly two children, but strong men who command respect are not Kate's cup of tea.

I think Kate was put in the middle behind the table because on the end she sat and kicked her leg any time the camera slid away from her. She also grabbed the guests first being on the end, noticed her tight clinch with Dr. Phil like they were 'dear friends' while he just looked uncomfortable and did state reality tv is hard on marriages … hint, hint, Kate. Oh yeah, you need to hit her with a board to get a point across.

I hate to burst all of the Kate is a “Superstar” bubbles out there, but I would point out that the Duggar family is juggling more than DOUBLE what those 2 even had to deal with !!! Try watching what a…Sucessful and True family is supposed to be like. Yes, they also have thier show and do things on television, but I have yet to see either of the parents…hosting tv shows or any other types of Crap we’ve all put up with making the Gosselin’s more wealthy and less inclined to get real jobs sans John I think. You are sooo right in asking what exactly Kate’s talent is?? Sure, she is the “mother” of 8 kids in that she gave birth to them, but how often on the show were they left with a sitter or she had a “helper” there for the kids. No housekeeping- No laundry- Just a lot of bossing and talking as though she was the ONLY one who ever knew anything. The View just shows how much she is all about herself and could never be on a show that doesn’t totally involve KATE, KATE, KATE, and ONLY KATE!! Hope it’s just a rumor about her having a talk show– wouldn’t she love to just talk for an hour all about herself and what a great mother she thinks she is. The only problem- who would watch it??? When Kate tries to convince me that she is a Christian, I want to say STOP the EGO = edging God out Kate. The job of judging others, had already been filled long before either of us were ever on this planet, by my HP= Higher Power. I believe every word of how Kate acts on the View is true….we know that if it's in print it's the gospel! I was in the audience for one of the tapings and it was scary dangerous, chairs were flying….hairpulling….accusations of adultery and cursing were rampant and that was just the audience!! I think they asked Kate back for the THIRD TIME…so while she was getting her makeup done Barbra Walters could gouge her eyes out with with an icepick, Whoopi could hold her down and shave her head, and Joy could talk her non-stop nonsense until Kate's ears bled!! NOT!!!

I never watched J & K + 8, and could never figure out WHY they had a reality show in the first place! Yes she has her flaws but how many woman do you know who could manage all those children and be as successful as she's been. She's not thAt a bad. In fact I can see her on the View because of her clear way of speaking and commanding presence….lets give her a break…
she deserves a job just like any of us….and besides, she's given her children a whole lot more than other woman who are having to work five days a week and leave their children at day care…..Kate continues to want the best for them….more power to her….
If any of you watched Jon and Kate Plus Eight, you've already seen Kate's attempts to organize/direct everything and to belittle Jon every chance she had.
So, why is this same behavior any surprise to any of you and/or to the cast and producers of The View?
