NEW YORK, NY – Reverend David Wilkerson, a prophetic evangelist, recently warned of impending destruction. Apparently he read the message in a bowl of cornflakes!
Reverend Wilkinson is a well-known and author, after penning the best-seller “The Cross and the Switchblade” which described his work with New York City junkies and gang members in the 1960’s. He has since gone on to raise up a ministry in Times Square and start his own online blog.
On Saturday, March 7, Rev. Wilkinson posted an “urgent message”, stating: AN EARTH-SHATTERING CALAMITY IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. IT IS GOING TO BE SO FRIGHTENING, WE ARE ALL GOING TO TREMBLE – EVEN THE GODLIEST AMONG US.
Fires will engulf New York City, as well as New Jersey and Connecticut. Riots and looters will run amok in major cities across the country. “What we are experiencing now is not a recession, not even a depression. We are under God’s wrath.”
Rev. Wilkinson posted a new entry this morning, explaining that the prophecy was revealed to him in his morning bowl of cornflakes:
“By the grace of God, I was blessed to be the messenger. There I was, reading my weekend paper, just about to put that first spoonful of holy cereal into my mouth, when I happened to look down and see the Lord’s message to me spelled out in those crunchy little flakes!”
“Well I dropped that spoon, grabbed a pen, and wrote His words down quick, before those corn flakes got all soggy. You know how they get.”
Rev. Wilkinson is now calling on all his fellow evangelist leaders – Pat Robertson, Billy Graham and Kirk Cameron – to join together and bless the Kellogg’s plant in Battle Creek, Michigan. No word yet if the pagan-friendly cereal Count Chocula will be included in the blessing.
He who laughs LAST will be you!! Go ahead and make fun of one of the most loved pastors in America. He has been 100% right in other things he has said. Making light of this is YOUR mistake!!! Wait and see. What will you do when it comes true????

At best, the bible is an edited work of literature, a collection of stories, many borrowed from various cultures such as the Tale of Gilgamesh, which predates the bible by at least 800 years, so it's not a wonder that this guy would want to add to the collection with a story of his own. I don't know if his predictions will come true but my morning cornflakes will never be the same again.
If we need answers then we seek Gods wisdom by prayer and fasting. Fear is for the non christian and faith is for the true believers. Yes there will be a civil war in the U.S among the people. U.S is not prepared for things to come. Our leaders DO NOT SEEK GOD!

Over a year ago I told my Apostle in Christ at our Church that God had impressed upon me that great calamity was going to happen. It would start with great economic downturn. Before that time God spoke prophesy through me. I was still backsliden at the time but soon rededicated my life to Christ. God has always been faithful to me even though I have been Godless and faithless. The Prophecy went: I am the lion of Judah and the time of shaking is coming upon America and I will break their sins to pieces with the teeth of my mouth and Fire shall upon the west coast and Fire shall fall upon America. And they will repent from their sins or I will shake them violently and they shall know that I even I am the Lord of Hosts. Wail ye woman of Zion Wail ye men of Zion for the Lord is pressing out his wrath and the winepress of the Lord is made full with the inquity of sons of men who mock and who wag the head and say where is the promise of his coming and of his great day~ Further the Lord told me over a year ago their were only nine years left.

That people would hate one another. That there would be great persecution of God's Elect. Thus says Jesus the Christ; I am the Alpha and the Omega, the begining and the end and as the lighting shines from the east to the west so shall be the coming of the Son of man

I'm praying for you, whoever wrote this. Please be careful…it's not too late to turn to the Lord. Better to heed something and be wrong than to not heed it and be wrong. This man is a man of God, be careful what you say about him, God always defends His people. Jesus Christ loves you, all that you have been searching for is found in Him.

Our Church Pastor and a lot of other Pastors in Russian Community has also told church members to supply food. God is preparing his own people, and only with Him we will be safe.

I like Wlikerson and he is a hardcore dude. He knows God for sure. I just think that sometimes prophetic predictions are a little extreme. I am not making fun of the guy at all but I have had many prophetic people speak to me things that were from the flesh and not the spirit.

There is only one, true God and He loves us so much that He sent His Son to earth to save us from our sins. Jesus suffered the punishment for OUR sins, and He is the only way to heaven. He loves His children and only wants us to be with Him forever, and gave us the FREE will to choose. I pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to the non-believers and open their eyes to the truth. I went to read Pasor Wilkersons blog from Monday and he never even mentioned food or his surroundings. Everything he wrote was still an admonition from scripture. This guy made up this story to try to be funny.
I agree that God is warning us to get prepared. We live in the city and even if we did stock up on food the looters would take it. We don't have guns. We have 6 children. I wish we could move to a rural area.My husband wants to get a cabin but where do we begin to look? Banks aren't lending out much money these days! So even if we found something how would we buy it? Does anyone know of a place of refuge for Christians who need to get out of the city?

I believe David Wilkinson's urgent message. We only have to see the corruption in high places, the violence in our city's the immorality amongst us . Very few are speaking out about these issues. And just look where your taxmoney is spent on! Many churches have become lukewarm. The word SIN is hardly preached "Hell" seems so outdated. It is time that the Christians examen themselves and repent and turn to God with all there heart. There are no calls for cash, no sales tactics, no miracle prayer cloths and no preaching of hatred, just the love of Christ. I'm throwing down the gaunlet to you and I can promise you that by the time you leave his service you will be full of regret for making little of the message given to this holy man by God. Your attempt to discredit this man is a feeble one to say the least. The people you mention as "fellow preachers" are not people he would even mention, so, in that light I see your report as an uninformed one and you are obviously not familair with David Wilkerson and his fellow pastors Times Square Church, Teen Challenge or the message given to David Wilkersom prior to 9/11.

I have been attending David Wilkersons' church in TImes Square for many m any years and I live in Connecticut. I have read many of his books, including the Cross & the Switchblade. I was in Times Square Church six weeks before 9/11 happened, Holy Spirit at that time. gave Pastor Dave a word to warn the people……..he saw people running in t he streets of Manhattan, fire, dust, debris,,,,,,,,, we PRAYED, and PRAYED, and PRAYED……,he is a true prophet…Take HEED to his words all of you. Don't MOCK HIM……. REPENT and thank the LORD for Pastor DAVE…………….today is March 14th……..I received his message on March 7th…………just WAIT, WATCH & PRAY………….it's only a matter of TIME ………………………………have NO FEAR for the LORD has his host all over the saints…………just TRUST the LORD with ALL OF YOUR HEART…for the LORD knows YOUR HEART.

Joshua said Be Strong and Courageous! Never compromise on the Truth. Trust and Obey and keep focused on Him our Saviour and Lord. I agree with you on most points. However, Pastor Wilkerson does NOT consider himself a prophet, although I believe he is, as his "visions" have been spot-on. As far as Billy Graham goes, I would be cautious about ridiculing any man of God. Pastor Graham has brought many souls to Christ and led and exemplery life. The Bible says that you are not to "touch not my annointed" so please be cautious about that. Blessings to you, and I pray that we will all remain close to God through the coming difficulties.

Lord has given me visions and dreams of a white tornato and stormy clouds with lightening. When I saw this white tornato, it was over the church, throwing people out and sucking others in; more was going out than in. A CLEANSING! in church today my pastor spoke of this "cereal" thing, and fyi read your bible, talk to your pastor about the TRIBULATION and when it begins and when the wrath starts. our church interprets the bible saying that all believers of jesus will be taken away from earth so that they don't have to experience this wrath. And wrath is not bad, god would never do anything bad to any of his childeren, he simply says that wrath will come to non believers of christ, so i agree we need to repent now, get on ur knees pray for forgiveness, give up your independence, and pray for jesus to come in your heart, live a godly life, and dont live for the wrong reasons, focus on these four letters WWJD and get your mind away from drugs alcohol possessions and sex, focus on what you need to do to get up there in the sky, so that you can be worthy enough to worship our lord.
God laid all His wrath for sin on His Son, Jesus Christ at the cross. He said in His New Covenant that He would not remember our sins anymore Jesus took all this wrath in His body to pay for our sins, Hebrews 10:16-22. The consequences for our sins maybe this calamity but in my understanding of scripture this is not God judging America for her sins. He has judged our sins already once for all time in Christ Jesus

if you looked at more than just the bible and your pastor for the info, you might be a little more open minded. the bible can't be proven as fact only using the bible as a source! it's like me writing a book saying the easter bunny is real and the true god and to prove it i have this book that says it is so! if you go back in history, before jesus, moses, noah etc., the stories of ancient peoples' gods, saints, and/or prophets have almost the exact same history of events (the flood, virgin birth, and even death and resurrection after 3 days). they simply changed the names.

I don't know if I believe a word of the prophecy. Coming out of that type of church I used to think I got messages from God all of the time. Turns out I was always wrong. But anyway, he risked his life everyday for 15 years planting a church among NYC gangs. He still has my respect, but this kind of thing makes me feel very uncomfortable.
We are totally amazing creations of God made in His Image! We have 3 parts, spirit, soul and body, your soul is your mind, your will and your emotions, your body is a temporary dwelling place, your spirit will live forever, eternally, you have the choice of where you will live, heaven or hell. If you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you will live eternally in heaven with Him, if you do not turn to Jesus while there is still time you will spend eternity in hell, neverending torment, your not going to just burn up to a crisp and then cease to exist, it will be your eternal existence. It's your choice. God so loved the world (you) that he gave His only begotten Son that whosoever (you) believes in Him will not perish but will have everlasting life.

This is a message to all who mock and make fun of Gods word. Jesus Christ is our only hope. God requires perfection and only Jesus lived a perfect life. He has fullfilled all the righteous requirements of Gods law therefore becoming the perfect sacrifice for our sins. The God that you are making fun of is the God that is allowing you to breath and say those things. How can you turn your back on your Creator and Savior, Jesus Christ! Why are you so against him? What has he ever done to you other than love you! That is because the prophecy is tribulation. Nobody likes to hear bad news. Remember what happened to all the true prophets in the old testament. They were despised because they spoke the truth. People want to hear good news. Dont forget you dont have to be afraid if Jesus is your Savior!
After sharing my thoughts i just want to say that we need to come together. I live in Connecticut and I would love to get together with my brothers and sisters and travel to different areas and hand out traks and share the Gospel. Can you imagine how awsome that would be if we hit the streets of the major cities (and small ones too) in a large group! I think that would make a pretty big impact! Any thoughts on this?

I live in Astoria NY (Queens) In responce to your comment about "we need to come together" YES, INDEED WE DO. The last few days I have been ministering the love of GOD and Jesus to homeless and hungry people in Times Square in NYC. I don't have anyone one to do this with–so it's just me and my ten year old daughter. I composed a few thoughts, and prayers about God, Jesus, faith, and love, made copies, bought some food items (whatever I could afford–lost my job recentlly) and just started talking to them.

My father is a preacher. I was raised in the church and educated by Christians. But it all never added up and the only answers to my questions was met with "you just need to have faith"! but i needed more so after 33 yrs of brainwashing i decided to find the answers myself and to my surprise the story of your jesus has been told countless times about countless gods that my christian teachers failed to teach about ! We are looking at the signs of the times, you may be right but never in history has so many things been in place. Look in Matthew 24:4-44 and other passages to see what God has said.
I have been in the Philippines for most of the past 20 years and have not followed Wilkerson’s ministry closely. Personally, everything I have known of the man strikes me as a genuine man of God. Therefore, if he has erred in the accuracy of some of his prophecies, I would be much more inclined to label him as a “man-of-God who erred”, than as a “false prophet”, remembering that malicious intent was a major part of what the Deuteronomy passages were condemning.
Most of David’s prophetic writings I have read, “The Vision”, “Set the Trumpet to Thy Mouth”, and numerous newsletters, have been vague enough in their projections to discount any possibility of being proved false. However, though somewhat vague, they have proven amazingly accurate, primarily regarding the precipitous decline of American morality.
I attended an “Agape Force” (a Christian youth ministry) convention in Dallas in 1984 at which David Wilkerson was the keynote speaker. In one of the sessions he began speaking about how covens of witches all over the U.S. were making pacts to “pray” for the downfall of Christian leaders who were engaged in adultery and sexual sins. He prophesied that in the coming years Evangelical leaders would begin falling by the score to sexual sins. The next year the pastor of a very large church I am well-acquainted with fell in disgrace to adultery. In 1988 both Jimmy Swaggart and Jim Baker drew national media attention with their sexual escapades. Recently it has been Ted Haggard, and throughout the past twenty years scores of others well-known in their respective denominations.
This, as well as his many prophecies in his books could indeed be simply well-educated guesses. There is nothing truly miraculous about them. Nevertheless, he has been right a great deal more than he has been wrong, and, I reiterate, if he has made prophetic errors, they have been errors on the side of striving to drive men TO God and drive our nation TO God, not away from him, as was always the case with OT false prophets.
But, I am not really interested in sticking up for Dave Wilkerson, that’s God’s job. I honestly haven’t followed his ministry closely enough in recent years to say that I know for sure if the label fits. I find it doubtful, however. What I am far more interested in is knowing what anyone thinks of THIS prophecy from Deuteronomy, “I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account” (Deut. 18:18-19).
This prophecy issued from the mouth of God, who declares He will raise up another prophet like Moses, whom the NT identifies as Jesus (Acts 7:37-53). If you have troubles with Wilkerson, forget about him. Ignore him. But what about Peter, John, Paul, and Jesus, who all prophesied essentially the same things as Wilkerson? They may not have spoken of thousands of fires burning throughout NYC, but they did all prophecy of intensely horrific times coming upon a perverted, immoral world in the last days before Christ’s return, and, as God assured Moses, “If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account.”
Is Jesus a Prophet worth heeding? What about Peter, Paul, or John? If you want to ignore Wilkerson, fine, but don’t be foolish enough to ignore the “Revelation”, Matthew 24, or 2 Peter 3:1-13, especially verses 3-4, “First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation."
Regardless of what he may be wrong about, Wilkerson is dead right about the most important thing. God’s wrath in judgment is coming upon this nation and the whole world. To ignore it is simply to stick one’s head in the sand and pretend all of the “signs” of Matthew 24 are coincidence. God’s wrath may not fall this year. It may not fall within the next five years. The Dow may soar for a short time higher than ever, but judgment is coming. It is nothing to be afraid of, if one truly knows and genuinely trusts Jesus. The Scripture promises God’s miraculous protection upon his children in the day of his wrath. But anyone who doesn’t truly know or trust in Jesus definitely has good reason to fear.
Personally, I expect to see what David has prophesied about thousands of fires burning uncontrollably in NYC, not because I’m convinced he is an infallible prophet, but because eventual judgment is certain to come upon a wicked, God-mocking, nation and city, and because Jesus assured us that these trying times were coming upon all the earth. I don’t, however, intend to live my life in fear or order my priorities and goals around these beliefs. I don’t intend to store up a month’s worth of food, as Wilkerson suggests. It may not be a bad idea, but I’m not going to live my life as though it is about to end. I’m going to live it as though I have forty enjoyable years left until I die of old age. But, I’m going to keep my heart and ears open, close to God, so He can speak to me if I need to change my mind!
I don't believe for one minute that he saw this message in his cereal. I think that somebody added on to his prophecy to make him look bad. I have gotten his messages for years and he is most respected and a man of wisdom. Be careful of what you hear read. Just like our wonderful media… there may be some truth and there may be lies to discredit certain people.. His prophecies have come to pass in the past. Read his books.

There is a story going around that the night before 911, Pastor Wilkerson was told to make sandwiches, which he and his congregation did, and the next few days fed and ministered to the victims and rescue workers, but then I heard it was also manufactured? Since you were there, did it happen?
The way that I have read this is that the wrath of God begins in the latter part of the tribulation, after the agreement the anti-christ breaks with Israel. The first three years is not the wrath of God, but the beginning of the 7 year period Daniel talks about.

The pastor of the church (evangelchurch.net) I now go to is saying the same thing-just about every Sunday he says something about the same thing as Pastor Wilkerson! But we dont just have to believe what they are saying–look at what is happening around us. Society is more and more currupt–it's DECAYING! Sodom and Gamorrah is all around us. Soon, all this decay NEEDS to be cleansed. We can run and try to hide in a cabin (many many times I thought to do that–still do sometimes) but, the end result will be the same.
We have to TRUST and HAVE FAITH and BELIEVE that we will NOT be lead into slaughter. We MUST believe and have faith that we will be shown where to go and what to do. Without faith, we will feel lost and be lost.

David Wilkerson did not say in his warning (which the author of this article misquoted totally and made a mockery of) that America would avoid what is going to happen. The truth is that the United States, was founded on Christian ethics, and it has been deceived into thinking that God does not matter. "In God We Trust" is no longer something many adhere to or believe. I have been on David Wilkerson's mailing list for 25+ years. He is the only preacher I know that is always on time with his news letters, prophecies and sermons. He received this prophecy some time back. The nut who submitted this article is evidently a son of Satan (By denying and not accepting the deity of Christ Jesus), you automatically are of your father the devil. Anyone who is truly attuned to Jesus knows that something big is about to happen. There is already a shaking going on. Why do think there is an increase in various storms,earthquakes, famines, diseases, financial problems, etc. There are too many references in the Bible not to see the handwriting on the wall. The bible does say we will not know the hour or the day, but we would know when it is getting near. We can discern the weather, but not the coming of the man of GOD. Pray America, especially for GOD's mercy on us for putting money, power and pleasure ahead of holiness and purity. Even so Lord Jesus come quickly.

I have a great respect for David Wilkerson. I just finished watching a news program and saw scores of people in Mexico City with masks on to avoid the swine flu. I remembered reading " The Vision" years ago by David Wilkerson and decided to visit his web site. Not suprisingly, I read his prophecy of the coming catastrophe. Yes, I know it will happen. I also know that the preaching of the Cross is foolishness to those who perish. May God draw all those willing, to His son Jesus before the door closes. David Wilkerson is a Spirit filled Man of God. He isn't one of these "prosperity" preachers preaching an other gospel. He doesn't need or want fame. The Revelations also talks about the one-world government. Look up one-world government and you will see what the government is doing. It has all been planned. People did not listen to the Prophets which God sent then He sent His Son Jesus and still there were those who did not listen as of today. When the Apostles preached repentance and the love and mercy of an unfathomable loving Father they were all put to death. Read Hebrews 3: 7-19 Do not put God to the test but listen to His word He sent His Son to save us, we are redeamed in His precious blood. He loves each of us even in our most filthy state of sin we need only say "sorry for everything we have done to offend Him" His commandments are for our good. God is love may His Holy Spirit melt and turn all hearts to Him.

The Lord has spoken not only to pastor David Wilkerson, but to many other profets. He has already spoken in the Bible, we are getting ready to go to the Sixth Seal in Revelation 6:12-17.

I find that David Wilkerson is a very cautious man. After reading a couple of his books he seems to be a prophet in the way that prophets of the old testament were. I don't see him pushing some kind of personal agenda or asking for money to get the word out. Where he sees the message of God isn't important. If God feels that Corn Flakes are where the message will be heard… so be it. God seemed fit to use a jackass to speak to one of the runaway prophets.

They do not have the spirit and there have been a lot of stumbling blocks to make them stubble at the truth. They have not the spirit so they do not understand the things of the spirit. Just think if that where you. I tell you one thing, these others that I saw prophecy on here are very real. My point being, the world and many in the church have had very hurtful things happen that they have seen and experienced concerning leadership. This message is way out there to them because its hard for them to conceive truths that seem so bazar. It doesn't make sense in the world they live in. I say, give them grace and the right one to witness to them and that God will draw them out of darkness into this marvelous light. Its hard to discern who's real because there are so many that aren't real but yet they are among us in the church teaching the word looking like ministers of righteousness yet are angels of light. Look at all the people that trusted someone that knocked at their door and said, come follow me, I'll show you the way to the God and then they led them into what they had been taught, believing it was right…A Johovah's witness or a Mormon…looking for something that would be real in their lives. I say, grace unto them. And that Jesus would draw them. There's been so much disappointment in leadership in this last day, its easy for anyone to get discouraged. They look up to leaders to lead the way. And there are so many that has misrepresented the truth. The word of God says you will know a prophet of God because everything he says will come to past. I have listened to brother David for over 35 years and everything that he has said will happen has happened. If it was possible I would name them all. This is one prophsey that is bringing death to america, that is prime time porn in our living rooms that our childern is watching. another one is the sin of homosexuality who are now called gay, there is nothing that is gay in their lives. David Wilkerson did not say "God is coming back"-he said there will be a calamity to hit all or part of this country-did not know where or when or what it is-just be prepared. God IS coming back, and no one knows when, but all the other things have to happen first. If you are wondering "what things"- study your Bible and you will see. If you want to know how things will be read the book of Genesis. "What has been will be–What has been done will be done" Everyone WILL stand before God one day and answer for every word that he speaks. I don not consider myself as trully faithful christian I been serving the Lord for almost 20 years I love Jesus I know He is the way, the true and the life and nobody will go though the father with out Jesus. Have no doubts the Lord spoke to pastor Wilkerson, the reason why is beacuse I was at the Wall Trade Center before 9/11 attack and the Lord reveled to me 2 weeks before people running,crying and fire everytime i enter the building. I though I was going creazy I even told my co-worker Martin about my visions and he laughed at me. I pray to the Holy Spirit to lead me about this revelation and i started to talk about salvation and giving out tracks. My sister and I were praying at the top of cross mountain in medjugorje when we had a vision of a huge sun, the surface was golden and like moulton lava but we were not in fear instead there was a feeling of great love surrounding us, after this appeared steaks of lightening in white, blue and blood red colours and in the midst of the streaks was a blood red globe surrounded in black. The lightening continued to streak in one spot for the hour it took us to descend. I have no idea of the meaning but after reading about the fatima story perhaps this was similar.

I read David Wilkerson's "The Vision" when I was 12 years old in 1973. It has nearly all been fulfilled. When David Wilkerson speaks people should take heed to the warning.
