LANCE ARMSTRONG: "MY TWIN BROTHER DID IT"

Lance Armstrong shocked Oprah by tell her that it was his twin brother, Larry, who rode the bike and took drugs.
Lance Armstrong finally confessed his doping sins to talk show host Oprah Winfrey on Thursday but in a bizarre twist that even stunned Oprah, he blamed it all on his twin brother, Larry – a brother that nobody ever knew existed.

“As kids we played pranks all the time on friends and family,”  Armstrong reportedly told Oprah.  “Then as we got older, we realized we could compete as a tag-team in certain sporting events and have a huge advantage over competitors.  So, with the help of our family, we kept it a secret that I had a twin.  He took the drugs, and I took the drug tests.  It was a foolproof plan.”
Larry Armstrong then came on, sat next to his brother and they both spoke to Oprah.  Larry admitted that he was  a drug cheat and  acknowledged that his cycling career was built on “a powerful combination of doping and deceit.”
The shamed cyclist and his brother confessed that theyused performance enhancing substances throughout most of “their” sporting career, including in all seven of his Tour de France victories.  Lance Armstrong’s life as a champion who had overcome cancer to win clean was “a perfect, mythic story,” he reportedly said.  “And it wasn’t true.  My twin brother took drugs and rode the races.  I just met with the press and ran the LiveStrong Foundation.”

Armstrong also said he believed his feat of seven consecutive Tour wins from 1999 to 2005 would have been impossible without doping, revealing that his brother uses a “cocktail” of EPO, blood doping and testosterone.  Armstrong blamed the US Postal Service team for encouraging him and his twin brother to keep deceiving the world.
Lance did make fun of the French – saying that they were particularly gullible.  “There were times when my brother and I were standing about ten feet apart and none of the French authorities noticed.   One time my brother was getting doped in the back room, while I was talking to the press ten feet away.  It was crazy,” Lance reportedly told Oprah.

Lance said he didn’t consider his actions to be cheating, because so many other cyclists were also using drugs and, the truth was I didn’t use drugs – my twin brother did.  “Yeah, I rode a bike, but I could never beat my doped-up brother.”
