HOLLYWOOD, CA – One upcoming movie does not have the blessing of one actor!
Mr. T is best know for his role as B.A. Baracus in the original hit TV show “The A-Team” in the 1980s. He was offered a cameo role in the upcoming “The A-Team” film, but he turned it down.  Apparently, the actor “knew what was coming” and did not want to be a part of it. Mr. T has slammed the new movie due to a level of violence and sex unacceptable to the actor and, he says, untrue to the original vision of the show.
Mr. T, whose real name is Laurence Tureaud, attended the movie’s Los Angeles premiere where he admitted that his fear were confirmed. “It was too graphic for me,” he said. “People die in the film and there’s plenty of sex, but when we did it no one got hurt and it was all played for fun and family entertainment. These seem to be elements nobody is interested in any more.”
The original “A-Team” was about a group of Vietnam vets who escaped jail after being imprisoned for a crime they didn’t commit. They then joined forces to fight for justice. The original did have a dose of violence, but rarely saw anyone seriously hurt. The new “A Team,” in theaters June 11, is made up of Iraq war veterans just returned from the battlefield, and includes Jessica Biel as a character that’s sure to get any guy’s blood pumping.
Throwing his complaints into the ring is the original “Faceman,” played by Dirk Benedict. He isn’t concerned about sex and violence, but rather his lack of screen time in his cameo. “I’m on for a mere three seconds and I find that kind of insulting.”

  1. Mr. T is correct. How many TV programs destroyed lots of vehicles, used cutting torches for welding and fired thousands of semi-automatic rounds without any injuries. And look at the space-alien connections. Dirk Benedict aka "Face" played "Starbuck" on "Battlestar Gallactica", Dwight Schultz aka "Howling Mad Murdock" played Barclay on "Star Trek TNG" and "Mr. T" admitted to being the father of "ET" on "Saturday Night Live" clearly identifying his boy "E". George Peppard played "Banacek" and solved impossible crimes, so he must have been a space alien too.
    Live Long and Prosper!
