A grocery store in South Australia says paranormal detectives are investigating a ghost who likes flinging Fruit Roll-Ups.
Brompton IGA store owner Norm Hurst says he turned to his surveillance footage after finding a box of the fruit snacks laying in an aisle, about six meters from its original location, after he had locked up shop.
‘The previous owners told me it was haunted,’ Mr Hurst told Adelaide Now. ‘I thought, ‘yeah, whatever.’ But since we’ve owned the place, strange things have happened.’
Mr Hurst watched the CCTV footage and says he was shocked by what he saw.
‘One of the cameras shows the packet of Roll-Ups just arriving on the ground,’ he told the Herald Sun. ‘It has not just slid off, it has been thrown out of the pasta, yet, the Roll-Ups are kept 12 metres away.’
Different angles of the video show no one in the area when the anomaly occurred.
Mr Hurst said the store was entirely empty, closed and just before midnight according to the footage, when it happened.
Another noted however that most surveillance cameras are set to record only when they detect movement, explaining the three minute gap in time.
On Thursday night the store reported paranormal detectives arriving to investigate the store.
One paranormal detective, Jessica Pulvirenti, said she watched and evaluated the video and believes it’s genuine seeing no wires or strings attached.
‘I think it’s pretty cool, actually,’ Mr Hurst said.
“It hasn’t done anything nasty,” he said, “the ghost has a sweet tooth.”

Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters!
I thought the Ghostbusters went out of business in the 90's.
Good ad campaign. Throw a bag of candy from behind the camera. People will come pouring in to see the "ghost".
I have seen so many ghosts cams since the 90's. Yet I have yet to see one. They don't even trip laser actuated alarm systems Bristol.
It's either the products are that good or the shop fitters did a good shop setting up the store. Imagine that – a ghost actually went shopping.
