WORLD'S FATTEST MAN

LONDON – The world’s fattest man needs a life-saving operation after almost eating himself to death!
Paul Mason, 48, is 980 pounds, due to his 20,000-calorie a day diet! He has spent the last eight years bedridden in his home in Suffolk, England.
National Health Services consider his illness “psychological”, which would explain why he continues to eat three family-sized takeout meals a night.
But now he needs a life-saving operation to control his compulsive eating disorder or else he will surely die.
However, some British citizens are outraged at the cost. All citizens are covered by the National Health Services. Mason’s yearly health care costs taxpayers $165,000 a year.
The transportation to the surgery alone will cost $148,000, due to the need for a special five-ton ambulance specifically built for obese patients. Tte surgery will be another $33,000.
Mason has needed special help before. In 2002, firemen were unable to get him out of his apartment to go to the hospital. They had to knock out a window and some brickwork to take him out with a forklift.
An NHS spokesman said Mason needs this surgery. He has battled his compulsive eating disorder for most of his life. “This man is very ill and this is life-saving surgery. The nature of his illness is psychological and the NHS has a duty to help him. He is in a very fragile state and needs help.”
However, a member of the Taxpayers’ Alliance stated, “While it is important to get this man the medical attention he needs, cost-effective methods must be used.”

  2. You don't seem to realise that this guy is from england. But it's still a ridiculous situation and I agree with the other guy. Tubby will be on goverment handouts so the taxpayers will be paying for his food as well

    • oh..gosh..remember the more he eats the less are his chances for living..kindly rephrase your words coz he surely needs to be cured.

  3. I know that like any indulgements the cure is not simple to do. Once you find an answer then you have to take that first step to reach your ultimate goal. Paul has had a very hard life because of what he has been a tremendous gain. He lost his girlfriend and his job. He ahs spent two years in his home, missing out on what we take for grantent. Here we are people whith problems as well like smokers, drinkers even drug users. You point your fingers and make fun of others who desire to join us out from the habits. You shouod be ashamed of yourselves and makle a plot to fix your own selves and your lives.

  5. All people have a right to life. He has a psychological disorder. This type of disorder is the cause of his compulsive eating. Even if it costs tax payers a lot of money I am glad he can get the treatment he needs. If it can be helped no one should be left to die.
