NEW YORK, NY – A TV actor is helping to brighten people’s spirits during these tough times, by handing out free chocolate!
Neil Patrick Harris, once the young doctor Doogie Howser and now star of the show “How I Met Your Mother”, has lent his voice to a very important campaign. As any global citizen is aware, times are tough these days. The world is going through a financial crisis and there are at least a few of us who are struggling to stay positive.
Well, Harris and the chocolate company Mars are here to put a smile on your face! Just this morning, Harris was in Times Square in New York City, handing out bars of free chocolate to any passersby. And Mars has announced that the company will give away a quarter-of-a- million full-size packages of real chocolate on Free Chocolate Fridays through September.
Americans can claim one of 250,000 coupons each Friday beginning on May 8 at 9 a.m. by visiting RealChocolate.com. If you missed it today, just try again next week!

It would be nice if one could've actually accessed the site to get the coupon…The site was returning error messages, crashing etc… that about sums up how much this promotion is going to help …

That sounds like a good idea. Too bad Mars Candy Company funds and does tests on animals. I don't eat their candy.
