ORLANDO, FL – The 40th anniversary of the first Moon landing has renewed interest in an apparent UFO sighting during the Apollo 11 mission.
Although kept a secret by NASA for many years, Buzz Aldrin has unequivocally stated that the astronauts in the spacecraft spotted a UFO flying near them. Nervous about broadcasting their sighting openly, the astronauts tried to casually ask Mission Control if a piece they had jettisoned earlier was nearby, but NASA confirmed it was not.
Buzz Aldrin explained:
“There was something out there, close enough to be observed, and what could it be? Now, obviously the three of us weren’t going to blurt out, ‘Hey, Houston, we’ve got something moving alongside of us and we don’t know what it is, you know?’”
So what was it? NASA has never identified or even acknowledged the sighting, despite numerous other UFO sightings by astronauts, including the Apollo 16 photo seen above.

Yes, if the crew of Apollo 11 saw something during their flight they could not identify then it was a U.F.O. (Unidentified Flying Object). Unfortunately, those who don'tknow better commonly used the term UFO to mean "flying saucers". A flying saucer is an identified flying object., not a U.F.O.

What this documentary cut out, was Aldrin saying that he was 99.9% sure the "UFO" was one of the lunar module protective panels from his own space craft which was jettisoned shortly before the sighting. He's said this in many interviews, including Larry King.

Buzz Aldrin has explained many times that the object they saw while enroute was the nose cone cover that was jettisoned. Why do "journalists" continue to repeat this story when they know, or should know, that Aldrin has objected to the partial and therefore misleading clip of the interview? There are plenty of genuine, astonishing, baffling UFO stories. Stop repeating the false, misleading, incomplete ones. It's just plain lying.

You got to see what Buzz said during the 40th anniversary on C-Span……Said the is a "monolith" on the moon of Phobos in orbit around Mars…Ill Be quoting him to his words……""We should go boldly where man has not gone before … we should … visit the moon of Mars. There's a monolith there, a very unusual structure on this little potato shaped object that goes around Mars once in 7 hours. It does not sound like in this video thats what he meant. I think he was mystified. He had right to be. There has been so many astronaut sightings its crazy. Lets face it, they are interested in our capabilities. Which of the 4 official government stories explaining Roswell do you believe? There is a possibility that it was a nose cone, so why did the transmissions between Houston and Apollo omit that? There have been slipups in switching between bands where things have been heard that were not supposed to be heard. NASA, supposedly a Civilian Agency at one time is far from that. these days.

By the odds and by the gods we cannot be alone, this universe is one of many and there must be life elsewhere….whether it be close or far from what we are we should not doubt it's out there somewhere, perhaps we'll see it in our lifetimes, perhaps not, but in this vast infinity we cannot be the only planet with intelligent life so this very well could be a true story (at least to some degree)

Statistically the size of the universe is so vast it is not improbable or even unlikely that an exact replica of earth exists elsewhere in the universe (meaning that all the circumstances that caused life on earth to happen all happened exactly the same elsewhere) especially since the universe is infinitely expanding according to modern physics. That being statistics basically confirms the existence of life elsewhere in the universe that however does not mean they can get to us or we will ever be able to get to them also doesnt mean they cant and we wont ever be able to

Please do keep in mind that durring the cold war the USSR was basically a dead zone there is so much about what they did that we dont know about. What I am saying is UFO does not mean right away that it is alien its possible it could have been debris from a previous mission (who knows where that stuff they throw away ends up. Or it could have been another countries ship or satellite or unmanned probe or who knows what.

Apollo 11 was a historic moment for our human species. It makes perfect sense that an alien civilization that has been watching us wanted to be part of our historic moment…a moment of an emerging human race first steps into space. If that was an UFO (it’s possible) then it makes perfect sense that it was right there at the right time to witness us on our first baby walk into space.
