BOSTON, MA – Rick Santelli plans to throw the world’s most expensive Tea Party to protest of the Stimulus Plan, serving hundred dollar bills steeped in hot water!
Santelli is an arch-conservative CNBC reporter, who has received a lot of media coverage over the last week for an on-air rant decrying government spending and waste embodied, he says, by the passing of the recent stimulus bill.
His new organization, The New American Tea Party, acting like an umbrella organization encompassing several fiscally conservative political watch and advocacy groups, aims at undermining the stimulus by preventing the funds from reaching their assigned targets.
“There is so much pork in this bill it would give the healthiest man a heart attack!” Santelli bellowed on CNBC. “Millions here for the arts. Millions there for roads. What’s a couple hundred million for unemployment benefits?! Sure, why not? Lets encourage people not to get jobs. Let’s just give them more taxpayer money to not work and not pay taxes which would go to someone else who is not working!”
“It’s lunacy!”
Santelli’s organization is working closely with conservative lawmakers, specifically governors and state legislators who will most directly receive stimulus funds.
“We’ve already had somewhere in the ballpark of 50 million dollars of stimulus money pledged by local lawmakers for use in the tea party,” Santelli says in a blog posting on the groups website.
“Rather than that money going to these ridiculous and wasteful pet projects, we are going to proverbally put it our pipes and smoke it! But rather than smoking it, we’ll be drinking it. In our tea. Literally.”
Inspired by the Boston Tea Party, which famously threw crates of tea into the Boston Harbor rather than have it sold for inflated prices and with outlandish taxes, the New American Tea Party will in fact steep hundreds of hundred dollar bills in near-boiling water.
“I’m going to drink it down and urinate it out! I plan to show that the stimulus money will be as effective at stimulating the economy as my urine will be to stimulate my lawn. Which is un-stimulating! It will kill my lawn! And the stimulus will kill the economy!”
Santelli is a patriot. I like this kind of person. I only wish our leaders including our idiot president were more patriotic instead of giving our freedoms away.

Does anyone know of a tea party event near or in lincoln, Ne. Here is what I think the new Democrate (liberal) talking point should be: We take the money from those who earn it, and give it to those who expect it. I work way to hard for my paycheck to be told I have to share it with someone who sits at home watching Oprah. Coming after this bogus nationalized health care bill is the socialized system of arranged marriages. High income earners will be matched with with those who live in Tony Resko's (and Obamas) slum property. Incomes will meet in the middle so we are all equal….. I have more but my blood pressure is climbing thinking about the destruction being done to this country so its time to sign off.
What really gets me about the bailout is that it's throwing money to greedy, greedy people that have used the system for decades – living lavish lifestyles, mostly millionaires or billionaires. They continue to put millions of dollars out in bonuses to these select few, all the while crying about the economy making their business go under. It is all the deceit and fraud they commit. I say let them take the monies they need out of their own pockets even if they have to cut back on the private jets, the lush vacations, etc. I think it would be justice if they end up totally broke and living on the streets.

It scares me how he has taken in even intelligent people. I recently met an apparently intelligent and affluent lady who had voted for Obama. I asked her how that could be, given that she and/or her husband had obviously worked HARD for their success, only for O. to give it to masses of others he deemed more deserving of it. Her motivation was religious. I should have asked how someone coming from a religious perspective could possibly support someone in favor of partial birth abortion and infanticide!

I went and bought labels for the white house address and with the return address as the New American Boston Tea Party and I will fill these with bags of tea, give them away at work and to a lot of our elderly folks who do not have computers to mail on April 1st. I have no doubt that many of the people who voted for Obama did so believeing that he could, or would fulfill all of his campaign promises, making life easier for those who are less privileged, and some simply voted for him thinking that he would make the top income earners of this country support or subsidize them for the rest of their lives. It's not prudent to send teabags, or any other similar material, through the US mail. It will likely trigger a hazardous materials (HazMat) response at the recipient location, especially if there is no note in the envelope. Even though it is just a teabag, it could be contaminated with a harmful substance by someone with bad intentions, but there is no way to know for sure. Therefore Federal government and Postal Service has to respond all potential contamination threats as if they are real threats until tests prove otherwise. (Remember the envelopes with white powder that were mailed to Congress and others around the time of 9/11?)
So, in the end, this ploy will cause our tax dollars to be spent needlessly.
It is better to telephone, write or email your Congressperson or Senator.

This is one video that I was referencing re the Fannie/Freddie scam. From what I read, Frank had a relationship with the head of Fannie/Freddie and this is the reason it was not followed by Frank. Also, there were racial accusations about Fannie and Freddie and that the loans weren't being given because of race and Congress was intimadated by this as well.Greenspan backed off because of this also. If you look to the right hand side, you will see other youtube videos and it will come up about how the Black Caucus got involved in this too. I respect your thoughts on this and thank you for the url's but, I know what happened here and it was about housing. Loans on homes were pushed through without merit due to intimadation. I was in Fla. when all this started and I got out of Fla. just in time. I saw the whole thing unravel. People couldn't pay their mortgages due to jobs, etc. It started happening to hundreds of people and the crux of the housing industry started to crumble.The rest is history.

Bush failure was going into Iraq. We had the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (Oh ! Barnie Franks) making sure everyone one buy a house whether they could pay for it our or not. Look at Chris Dodd he needs to clean out his lieing mouth with soap. Thanks to Texas changing our lending laws after the Savings and Loan mess in the 80's, our foreclosure rate is 3.4%. What happen to the other 50 states, their legistures apparently didn't ever think this would happen again. The Republican Party not only had complete control of the government for 6.5 years (2000 to 2007, and veto power until 1-20-09), one of the main tenets of that Party was, and still is, total deregulation of the markets, i.e. free market ‘cowboy’ capitalism.
They were the ‘cops’ on the beat, from Wall Street to Main Street … not Barney Frank. Barney Frank could’ve said anything, but he had absolutely not power to back up his wishes… the other guys were running the show.
If they didn’t like any of the decisions that came out of the Clinton Administration, which had a Republican majority in the House and Senate, they had sufficient time and the authority to make those changes, i.e. they chose to allow blatant fraud to permeate and subsist in all of the markets.

Now the S#*T has hit the fan and the libs are trying to blame the conservatives.

I looked up the New American Tea Party on <a href="http://www.snopes.com” target=”_blank”>www.snopes.com and according to them, the actual teabags may be discarded or delayed by the postal service, due to security measures. So, one blogger suggested sending the Labels from the teabags —, as for me, I am sending the "Salada" package that holds the teabag, since it clearly states "100% GREEN TEA" on the wrapper. ALSO, snopes.com suggests that we enclose a brief statement of protest explaining the desired outcome, inside the envelope. Here's an example:
"I enclose this Teabag wrapper as a statement of PROTEST against the government economic stimulus packages!! We the People demand full Disclosure of where and how Our Tax Dollars are to be spent!!!!!!! Or,

I have my suspicions. He did not grow up American. When he was here he was raised on welfare and food stamps so he has had the whole entitled philosophy all his life. Sen Shelby (I believe it was) a few weeks ago said they still have not even seen his birth certificate yet. My point, I am not so sure he is not intentionally bankrupting the country worse than it is because he has an agenda. We should not be so quick to set that thought aside. Have any of you actually sent Tea Bags to the White House? I saw that as one of the ideas on another website but I do not think that will work. I did find this site called <a href="http://www.sendteacard.com” target=”_blank”>www.sendteacard.com that sends a postcard with tea bags on it and what I thought was a great message. On the back it says we are Mad as Hell about what Washington is doing with OUR money! You even have a choice of the top 7 people in Washington to send it to. Any thoughts on this? Can this be effective? I heard about the recent Red Envelope Project that dumped 2.25 Million cards to the White House Mail Room a week or so ago, could this be an even bigger movement? I sent 2 cards to each of the 7 choices, If I am going to spend money (taxes), I at least want them to know I am Mad as Hell they are doing it.
