[mpoverlay]In a bold move, Pixar has confirmed that the popular media franchise “Toy Story” will see its next film rated “R.” The news has shocked the film industry and parents of the demographic once targeted for the adventures of Buzz Lightyear, Woody and the rest of the gang. Few details have emerged, but one rumor suggests that the story follows Andy into his steamy and exploratory college years.
The films so far have been anything but adult-centered. Though Pixar films are known for appealing to a wide range of moviegoers with its all-resonant themes of bravery, friendship and celebration of nostalgia, this seems to be the first computer-animated film series — and certainly the first from Pixar — to so abruptly dive deep into the world explicit and crude-humored narrative.
Some wonder why the company would take such a large leap into the “R” category. After all, “Toy Story” could have made the safer transition into “PG-13” with a controlled amount of cursing and adult themes. This reporter was taken to an undisclosed editor booth in the Los Angeles area and was treated to a brief collection of unfinished scenes and short takes from the new film. I don't see where the toys come into the story. What college kid would bring children's toys to school? Not to mention that all the toys are not anatomically correct. I also seem to remember that Andy gave his toys to a doctor's office so other children could play with them.

Considering most of the new generation has no clue what Toy Story is unless the 90's generation brings it up, I don't have a problem with it being rated R. Might be different, but it could be neat seeing everything in a different scene.

It's true everybody, I'm a 3D artist at Pixar, I'm specializing in texturing and have been working on Woodys stubble texture for the last 3 months (everything takes a lot of effort here). Don't be alarmed though, it's going to be a great film. I've seen a few early previews and the story is awesome and unexpected!

This has got to be just ridiculous gossip gone wrong. Andy going to college was obviously Pixar's way of removing Andy from the whole Toy Story equation. If you do remember, at the end of Toy Story 3 Andy donates all of his toys to that sweet little girl who had such a vivid imagination as once the young Andy. You would only assume that the new adventure that these toys would take would be all with this young girl as she grows. It is the obvious route to take in order to keep Toy Story around and fresh. This whole Toy Story''s next move for a moving being rated "R" is just plane hog wash!

The toys don't even belong to Andy anymore, at the end of TS3 he ended up giving them away to Bonnie. She's they're owner now. In the event that there is another sequal, I'm almost 100% sure that Andy will NOT be in it.
It wasn't a doctor's office. They ended up at a daycare center, got back to Andy, and he donated them to a little girl named Bonnie

I don't buy it, this got to be fake. John Lassester would not do that. His Toy story franchise is great and he would not make it R rated with making woody curse or Andy, or even the new little girl. He would do a adventure that is G or PG, not R. So I wouldn't worry. It has to be fake.
