NEW YORK, NY – The boss has spoken and Rachel Uchitel has been fired!
Rachel Uchitel felt it was a better move to join Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew than to compete on Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice. Trump is not one to be stood up and has already moved on.
“We no longer have interest in Rachel,” Trump’s camp said in a statement.
Uchitel signed on for the upcoming edition of Dr. Drew’s show and Trump almost immediately dropped the former Tiger Woods’ mistress from consideration of the next round of Celebrity Apprentice.
That might turn out to be an ill-advised move on Uchitel’s part because just this past Friday, the real estate mogul made it known that he was serious about recruiting her.
“Rachel Uchitel very much wanted to be on Celebrity Apprentice. She asked us, we did not ask her,” Trump’s rep said. “We were considering it but have 10 people vying for each and every spot. Look what happened to Joan Rivers, Trace Adkins, Piers Morgan, and others who have been on the show.”
The former socialite may have opted to tackle her personal issues rather than her career ambitions. Dr. Drew Pinksky is a renowned therapist and doctor who just may be the tipping point in helping Uchitel kick her prescription pill habit.
Uchitel will join a cast that includes 7th Heaven’s Jeremy London, The Hills Jason Wahler, former teen idol Lelf Garrett and ex-model Janice Dickinson.
