CHICAGO, IL – The Dyson company has invented a new kind of fan that has no blades!
The company, mostly known for state-of-the-art vacuum cleaners, decided to try something new. The Dyson Air Multiplier, which looks like a ring on a stand, can expel 119 gallons of air every second!

Air is drawn up the base of the machine, and then forced out a small hole in the loop amplifier at the top. As it exits, it pulls air from behind (inducement) and from the front and sides (entrainment), to create the “multiplied” air flow.

The Dyson Air Multiplier begins retailing at $299. Reviews have ranged from unimpressed to ecstatic.
