LEONARDO DICAPRIO'S NEW PET

NEW YORK, NY – Leonardo DiCaprio has got a new pet and we’re not talking about a girl!
Don’t worry everyone, Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Rafaeli are still a happy couple – at least from what we know. He hasn’t gone out there and replaced her. The Inception star is on his A game when it comes to acting. It seems as though any movie he touches recently turns to pure gold. An actor of his caliber shouldn’t be satisfied with just any pet. No, not DiCaprio. He makes sure he goes for unique and different – a trendsetter if you will.
According to TMZ, DiCaprio has shelled out $400 for a pet tortoise. Not just any tortoise, however. A 10-year-old Sulcata tortoise that can live to be up to 70. Leo pre-ordered the exotic African tortoise from Prehistoric Pets, a California pet store that specializes in rare reptiles. The tortoise currently tips the scales at 38 pounds, but Sulcatas can grow to weigh 200 pounds.
Leo picked up his new pet at the North American Reptile Breeders Conference and Trade Show in Anaheim, CA over the weekend. He attended the event with fellow Inception star Lukas Haas.
Given Leo’s recent string of box office hits, it’s safe to say that the actor can afford turtle food for the next 70 years.
