Just to point out a continuity error, the hieroglyphs you're displaying were carved during the Amarna period and depict Akhenaten and his family underneath the light/aura of the god Aten. A little research into Egyptology would tell you that Akhenaten ruled about 100 years AFTER Thutmose III, and this picture in no way depicts alien contact. While the figures in the carving might look odd, it is just reflecting the artistic conventions of that period.
Please do some research before launching into a ham-fisted finger-pointing debate.
Althought you're correct, the article never says that hieroglyph is the one they're refering to. I think its just an example. Besides, how can you say that picture disproves any kind of alien contact? Those "artistic conventions" are repeated over and over again througout ancient egypt. Not to mention the mayan, sumerian, nazca, etc.
