TEXAS FIREBALL SPOTTED

DALLAS, TX – A large fireball was spotted by hundreds of citizens Sunday morning, but local authorities have found no evidence to explain what it was.

Police stations from Dallas to Austin were flooded with calls describing a large egg-shaped fireball spotted in the sky. A sonic boom was also reported to have been heard, yet authorities have not been able to locate any debris on the ground. Although they are stressing it is not a result of last week’s US and Russian satellite collision, they cannot say what it definitely was.

  1. If we are to be literal, it is obviously a UFO. At least for now. ๐Ÿ˜‰ UFO means Unidentified Flying Object. It has not yet been identified, it was flying, and it was some kind of object. I've seen several fireballs in real life. It seems pretty consistent with everything I've personally witnessed. And as far as the rotation–a very large percentage of the rocks floating through space are rotating. The sonic boom sounds interesting, possibly the object exploding from the heat, which would point to the possibility of it having been porous. The scientific implications of that may be wonderful, really.

This boom leads me to doubt it was a satellite wreck, or an aircraft. A mechanistic explosion and a sonic boom are vastly different, and difficult to mistake one for the other.

But alien? I find it hard to believe that a species, society, whatever, which has mastered travel through space over massive distances would crash their spacecrafts here with such amazing frequency as people claim. But if that's true, I'd much rather be in an airplane than in a spaceship–much higher survival rate, even without the experimentation and such.

Of course, I like that Obama theory, too. ๐Ÿ™‚
