WINSTON CHURCHILL, DWIGHT EISENHOWER UFO COVER-UP

WASHINGTON D.C. – Two great past leaders may have been part of a great cover-up!
If the “X-Files” ever wanted to make a return, they would certainly have a conspiracy worthy of a movie. According to a letter sent to the British government, former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and former U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower covered up a UFO sighting during World War II in an effort to prevent mass chaos.
Leading a world power during wartime certainly means that there’s going to be a need to maintain classified information. Despite anyone’s best efforts, not every secret remains a secret and the English Bulldog and Ike kept a mammoth one for decades.
The Daily Telegraph explains that Churchill is reported to “have made the orders during a secret war meeting with U.S. General Dwight Eisenhower, the then commander of the Allied Forces, at an undisclosed location in America during the latter part of the conflict.” He ordered that the information remain a secret for a period of 50 years.
United Kingdom’s National Archives released thousands of documents related to the sighting of unidentified flying objects on Wednesday.
A letter sent in 1999 by an unnamed person from Leicester, England, relayed a story he was told by his mother, which came from his grandfather, who claimed to have witnessed the alleged cover-up.
“It is claimed that my grandfather, [REDACTED} was present during a debate between Winston Churchill and Mr. Eisenhower during World War II involving making a decision about an unexpected incident,” the letter states, dated Sept 20, 1999.
The cover-up revolves around an incident off the English coast and the a Royal Air Force bomber crew, which was returning from a “photographic mission” in either Germany or France.
“The aircraft was intercepted by an object of unknown origin,” the letter explains, “which matched course and speed with the aircraft for a time and then underwent an extremely rapid acceleration away.”
According to the letter, the grandfather who witnessed the conversation heard Churchill state: “This event should be immediately classified since it would create mass panic amongst the general population and destroy one’s belief in the Church.”

  1. this story ws definitely NOT anything whatsoever about alien craft UFO's or extraterrestrial life, the conversation between Churchill and Eisenhower was via transatlantic telephone, the bodyguard did NOT tell his wife on his deathbed, and the reactions of the General Staff to the incident DID correspond to events thats could not have been attributed to German or other human technologies known at THAT TIME. I am the person who wrote the original letter to the MOD and wish to remain anonymous. Please do not continue to link this story with aliens.

    • Right.
You also drive a sled with reindeer every Christmas eve, huh?
And the remains of "funny little beings" hidden in a hanger on Wright-Patterson really did not happen, huh?

  2. P.S. i don't (and never have) believe in aliens and UFO's as alien craft, I don't watch the 'X-files', and i was disgusted with the MOD responses to my 2 letters (the MOD introduced references to extraterrestrial life and UFO's in that context, not I), so i complained about the MOD treatment to a certain MP (that letter does not appear in the MOD releases as it was a non-MOD correspondence). Sincerely, the person who originally wrote to the MOD about this story.

    • So why would it destroy ones belief in the church then Mr Anonymous? Guess what, I dont buy anything you have to say especially when you say it behind a computer screen anonymously. X-files? Your about ten years out of date, mate! So the MOD introduced the alien elements eh? Prove it!

    • ok, your first question should more properly be directed to Mr Churchill – it was his thoughts that led to the comment – and those thoughts were not passed on via the chain described. X-files were in response to reactions from others on the internet, and date-wise, were close to the period of the MOD correspondence – this whole matter is over a decade old now – so totally irrelevant to slate the age of all this. last point, the MOD letter introduces ET and UFO in their last paragraph of their reply to my first letter – try reading that. My letter didn't mention these things as part of the story, and didn't mention ET life at all. Again – try reading it. And finally, i certainly wish to maintain my anon. you'll just have to live with that. Sincerely, the person who wrote to the MOD about the Churchill UFO story.

  3. Even Dr David Clark, UFO reporter and commentator, in his post 'Folklore & Journalism' March 22, 2011, makes some untested assumptions about the Churchill story. Quote:
"She in turn only recalled the story, decades later (after her father’s death) after watching a TV programme on UFOs that featured retired aircrew talking about their ‘foo-fighter’ experiences in WW2. Now we’re getting to the core of the legend. She would have thought nothing more about it had she not switched on the TV that night and been exposed to the pervasive media UFO myth. Crucially, it was at this stage that she repeated the story to her son, who the letter reveals was evidently a believer in UFO visitations. He promptly wrote to MoD requesting confirmation of its truth."
OK, my mother didn't forget about the story from her father until she saw a TV programme – she spoke of it on occassion many times, and was alerted again to the wider importance of thispersonal experience in the world media by the TV programme. She in fact neglected to tell me the story for many ywears (I lived away from home) until 1997 or 1998, and I was very surprised she hadn't told me earlier.

    • (continuation of original post of 11 weeks ago – the following appears not to have been successfully included with the above text): In 1999 I had another discussion (this was long after any TV show about these background events) and I interviewed her as best I could over the telephone (pity I didn't think to more closely question my mother about the 'soundless' flying alongside a 'very noisy RAF plane' but we all make mistakes!), and I decided it might be feasible to see if the MoD could try to corroborate the story. Also, Dr Clarke, I do not believe in UFO's! And I never have done. I am a highly trained astrophysicist and planetary geologist and simply wanted to know what possible events sparked off the WW2 incident. I specifically said to the MoD in my first letter that I am not a UFO or alien life believer. There, that’s off my chest! Sincerely, thanks for reading. The person who originally wrote to the MoD in 1999 (oh, and if necessary, I can prove that). ๐Ÿ™‚ (continued below…)

    • and finally… dear doc b: your unhelpful comment appears to me to support the view that most of those interested in UFO's are judgemental, inexperienced, poorly trained in critical thought, ignorant of many things (like science, facts, perceptions and genuine curiosity without jumping to silly conclusions). My post's here are simply to air the frustration (while maintaining safety from press hounding for my mother and me) with how the press and TV news have treated this story. Have a nice day!
(It's an interesting world – just looked through my original MOD letters of 1999 and their replies – uncencored! What a momento!)
