SEA OF JAPAN – Hundreds of giant jellyfish have advanced from China and have descended into Japanese and, possibly, American waters.

This is the third time since 2005 that these overgrown creatures have entered the Sea of Japan, and scientists have yet to uncover the motive for their repeated attempts at invading the relatively docile waters.

“We haven’t figured out why they keep coming back,” says scientist William Montgomery, “but we have to assume that they are hostile. I mean the sheer size of them — it’s an obvious attempt at intimidation!”

In an effort to ward off any impending oceanic catastrophe, Japanese fisherman have banded together with an unlikely ally in order to come up with a deal that would be mutually beneficial.

“We have chosen to combat this problem the only way we know how. We are in talks with local sushi chefs who have agreed to sell any jellyfish caught at reduced prices to the masses while we receive hefty profits,” explained one Japanese fisherman. “It’s a win-win situation…well, except for the jellyfish.

Alien-like sea monsters have also been sighted off the coast of California, but many claim they are not in cahoots with their Japanese counterparts.

When asked if he had seem or heard anything about these hostile foreign bodies, surfer Brody Jones mused, “Yeah, totally man, but they are just here too chill out at the beach like the rest of us.”
