The world’s first commercial spaceport, which will be the hub for Virgin’s consumer spaceflights, is now 90 per cent complete.

The 1,800-acre Spaceport America site, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, is the home base for Virgin Galactic, Richard Branson’s most ambitious business venture yet.

It already boasts a runway stretching to nearly two miles long, a futuristic styled terminal hanger, and a dome-shaped Space Operations Centre.

The work is now just months away from completion, according to a spaceport spokesman, and is set to be done by the end of the year, well in time for the first expected Virgin Galactic spaceflights in 2013.

Christine Anderson, the newly appointed executive director of the New Mexico Spaceport Authority, told SPACE.com she was ‘jazzed’ about the progress made so far.

‘When you think about what a feat that is, to build all that anywhere, but then to build it in the middle of the high desert in New Mexico — that’s a small city that was built,’ she said.

‘So hats off to all the contractors and architects and everybody else that spent a lot of time and sweat equity in its development.’

But Ms Anderson has already met challenges. No sooner had she started in her new job, the New Mexico legislature slashed the spaceport office budget by more than half.

And there is no firm date yet for Spaceport America to begin operations.

irgin Galactic’s WhiteKnightTwo/SpaceShipTwo launch system is still in testing and she says it is up to them when they decide it is safe to fly tourists to the edge of space.

At a best guess, she told SPACE.com, flights could begin in the first quarter of 2013.

Construction of phase two has already begun and is set for completion in time for Virgin Galactic’s pioneering flights.

It will include the completion of the Vertical Launch Complex facility, two visitor centres in nearby towns and a further visitor centre on the main spaceport site.

ROSWELL, NM – After the release of the FBI Memo that proves the existence of aliens – the town of Roswell was once again visited by aliens.

The FBI memo, dated March 22, 1950, details the appearance of crashed “flying saucers” in New Mexico that were recovered along with alien bodies. It was released on a new web site by an agency called “The Vault.”

Aliens from Planet Zeeba and Planet Xinu were spotted in Roswell yesterday.  John Malley, the head of the U.N. Panel of Extraterrestrials happened to be in Roswell at the time and identified the aliens.

“They made a visit back to Roswell, pleased that the U.S. Government is finally revealing the truth to the American people,”  Malley said.  “Aliens were in Roswell in the 1948 and they were abused by the U.S. military.

UFO researchers had known about the memo for years – as did the aliens – but they were all happy that it was released to the public.  The document is an authentic FBI memo written by special agent Guy Hottel, but the information is not actually new.

The aliens were seen dancing in the streets of Roswell. They were also reading about the FBI memo in the town paper:

WASHINGTON, DC -  A recently released memo by the FBI proves that aliens did land in Roswell, New Mexico.

The FBI has made thousands of files available in a new online resource called The Vault.  These files conclusively prove that aliens were at Roswell, New Mexico.  Among them is a memo to the director from Guy Hottel, the special agent in charge of the Washington field office in 1950.

Experts from the U.N. Panel of Extraterrestrials say that this memo is conclusive proof of alien life. The memo has been published on the FBI website

In the memo, whose subject line is ‘Flying Saucers’, Agent Hottel reveals that an Air Force investigator had stated that ‘three so-called flying saucers had been recovered in New Mexico’.

The investigator gave the information to a special agent, he said. The FBI has censored both the agent and the investigator’s identity.

Agent Hottel went on to write: ‘They were described as being circular in shape with raised centers, approximately 50 feet in diameter.

“I know aliens exist because I lived in a house with one.  It had a human shape but only 3 feet tall,’ he stated.

All the alien bodies spotted in Roswell were ‘dressed in a metallic cloth of a very fine texture. Each body was bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout suits used by speed flyers and test pilots.’

One informant, whose identity was censored in the memo, claimed the saucers had been found in New Mexico ‘due to the fact that the Government has a very high-powered radar set-up in that area and it is believed the radar interferes with teh controlling mechanism of the saucers’.

He then stated that the special agent did not attempt to investigate further.

The release of the secret memo is also conclusively claims that there is has been an ongoing government cover-up.

The town of Roswell in New Mexico became infamous after reports that a flying saucer had crashed in the desert near a military base there on or around July 2, 1947.

The bodies of aliens were said to have been recovered and autopsied by the U.S. military, but American authorities covered up the incident.

Military authorities issued a press release, which began: ‘The many rumors regarding the flying disc became a reality yesterday when the intelligence officer of the 509th Bomb Group of the Eighth Air Force, Roswell Army Air Field, was fortunate enough to gain possession of a disc.’

The headlines screamed: ‘Flying Disc captured by Air Force.’ Yet, just 24 hours later, the military changed their story and claimed the object they’d first thought was a ‘flying disc’ was a weather balloon that had crashed on a nearby ranch.

Amazingly, the media and the public accepted the explanation without question. Roswell disappeared from the news until the late Seventies, when some of the military involved began to speak out.

Another memo published in The Vault from 1947 claimed that an object ‘purporting to be a flying disc’ had been recovered near Roswell.

The disc was ‘hexagonal in shape’ and ‘suspended from a balloon by a cable’, according to the memo, marked as ‘Urgent’, to the FBI director.

The memo noted that the disc resembled a weather balloon – but claimed that a telephone conversation between the Air Force and the field office ‘had not [word censored] borne out this belief’.

The disc and balloon were being transported to Wright Field for further inspection, the memo noted.

It added that the information was being flagged up because of ‘national interest’ in the episode, and noting that both NBC and the AP were set to break the story that day.

So, now the truth is no longer “out there”, the truth is here.

ROSWELL -  A UFO Baby returns to Roswell, New Mexico to explore the July, 1947 incident.

Charles Annenberg Weingarten returns to the place of his birth to investigate the 1947 incident that has captivated America – and the world – for over sixty years.

The Roswell incident was the recovery of extra-terrestrial debris, including alien corpses and an alien baby, from an object which crashed near Roswell in July 1947.

The United States military maintains that what was actually recovered was debris from an experimental high-altitude surveillance balloon belonging to a classified program named “Mogul”, however, many UFO researchers and citizens of Roswell maintain that in fact a crashed craft and bodies were recovered, and that the military engaged in a massive cover up.

It ranks as one of the most publicized and controversial alleged UFO incidents.

Now, Charles Annenberg Weingarten is on the case.  The United States government is not happy that Weingarten is re-opening old wounds, but Weingarten presses on.  He has been working on a documentary to record his findings.

UFO BABY

LAREDO, TX – Texas lawmakers have confirmed that Terror Babies are crawling across the border and heading for… you!

Texas Republican  Louie Gohmert confirmed last night on Anderson Cooper 360° that babies, all under the age of 1, are crossing the Mexican border, crawling into Texas and terrorizing local citizens – and America.

A FBI agent, Pete Ramsey, confirmed that a new baby terrorist cell has formed and they’ve figured out ways to game the American system.  “The babies know that we are looking for adults, teenagers and, generally, human beings over the age of 5.  They know that they can just crawl past us and we wouldn’t even give them a second look… but not anymore.  Now we’re on to those little buggers. We’ll nail them, damn right we will!”

Another Texas lawmaker, Debbie Riddle, came on Anderson Cooper’s show. The Republican member of the Texas State Legislature said her office is getting up-to-the-minute reports on the terror babies from former FBI officials. The Terror Baby cell has been active since December of 2009, when most of the terrorists were born.  These babies were born in the United States and Mexico – and have teamed up to terrorize adults in both countries. They scream, belch, and poop – everywhere.. And they do when you’re least expecting it.

Laredo residents have been taking extra precautions – when they see a baby crawling on a dirt road, they ignore him or her.  “Usually, if I saw a baby, or group of babies, crawling around by themselves, my natural instinct is to go over there and help the little fellas out, but not now.  No, sir.  I’m staying far away from them varmints.”

Some people confuse the Terror Babies with the recent news about “birth tourism” or “anchor babies” – which is when undocumented citizens have their babies in the United States and the babies immediately become U.S. citizens.

There have been sightings of terror babies as far north as Kentucky, where several horse ranchers said the babies crawled into their stables and stole some horses. A few babies crawled into a farmhouse and tried to breastfeed off a woman in her thirties.  She’s recovering now in a Lexington Hospital.

There was one baby, six-month-old Little Charlie, who was apprehended by Kentucky authorities.  “We haven’t been able to get much out of him.  All he keeps saying is goo-goo, gaa-gaa.  But, we’ll break him. Count on it,” said Officer Skip Perkins.

How many Terror Babies are in the U.S.?  FBI agents say it’s hard to tell… but there may be over 50,000 in the Southwest alone.  Do not approach theses babies!  They aren’t armed, but they can be extremely dangerous, especially if they haven’t been changed in a while.

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – NBA player Danny Granger is moving forward with his elaborate house plans, which include a batcave!

Danny Granger Jr. is a professional basketball player for the NBA’s Indiana Pacers. During the off-season, he prefers to live in Albuquerque with his wife.

He is still in the midst of having plans drafted for his dream home, but he’s confessed to including Batman’s batcave!

In the past, Granger admitted to already having a “man-room” where he plays his video games, but his hope was to have a cave with a hidden entrance, like the one Batman drives his Batmobile into. Now that his sports career has taken off, his dream is becoming a reality!

In a recent interview, Granger explained that his plans are very specific and intricate, so it will take a year and a half until the house is completed.

Granger said, “What I took out, I wanted an underground tunnel entrance. I had to take that out. I found out there’s so many state codes and laws against that so we had to take that one out.”

“But we still have the underground thing going on and I mean I’ve got cars and things that turn my cars and I even got sort of like a moat thing going on so it will be interesting to see.”

There is no word yet on whether Bat Boy will follow suit. Since his windfall after discovering peak guano, Bat Boy should have enough cash to update his own cave with real style.

CARLSBAD, NM – Film director Dan Parnish says the new science-fiction movie he’s shooting will be the most realistic one ever made. He’s casting real aliens in the leading roles!

Parnish’s film, The New Immigrants, is being shot on a closed set in a secret location, surrounded by heavy security.

“I’m tired of seeing those phony movies where humans slap on makeup and dress like aliens,” says the controversial Parnish, who’s known for his fanatical obsession with realism in film. “I refuse to make another movie like that.

“I decided to do a truthful alien movie with no compromises. So I cam to this area where there are hundreds of UFO sightings each year. I was determined to meet the aliens, teach them to act and use them in my movie.”

“I can’t reveal how I made contact with the aliens. But they’ve cooperated with me because they want this story to be told.”

The picture, written and directed by Parnish, tells the heartbreaking story of a family of alien beings who land on Earth. But it’s presented from the point of view of the aliens themselves.

“Your sympathy will definitely be with the aliens,” says press agent Steve Lagwarthe, the only person connected with the film besides Parnish who’s speaking to the press.

Parnish has issued a strict gag order to the cast and crew, but some bizarre reports have been leaked to the world press.

“Cast lunches are out of this world,” says one caterer who prepares meals for the production. “They won’t allow us on the set. They order the meals, we bring the order and leave it with the guards. A typical lunch order includes 27 quarts of kerosene, 11 adobe bricks, 15 cans of latex paint and 12 lead pipes.”

One actor with a minor part in the film who refused to let his name be used says, “As actors, the aliens are not half bad. They’re just a little unpredictable. The cameras will roll, they’ll be doing the scene perfectly, then suddenly change form – from a solid to a sort of gel – and start talking gibberish.

“But for the most part they do great as actors and with training they may soon be dominating Earth’s film and theater community.”

Mr. Lagwarthe says the film is nearly completed and the distribution deal is being finalized.

NEW ORLEANS, LA – An alien movie critic traveled through time so he could be the first to trash the new Star Trek movie, including dozens of spoilers.

J.J. Abrams’ new Star Trek, a reimagining of the original TV show, is one of the most highly anticipated movies throughout the galaxy.  Nerds from every star system are eagerly awaiting its release this Friday (Sunday in the remote Vega system).  However the movie is being ruined by scathing and telling reviews from a popular website.

Joss Mooredrohn is an intergalactic movie critic who runs the popular movie news and review site ArentIAwesome.  The site gained incredible popularity for having inside news on media projects from around the galaxy.  Mooredrohn has since been able to purchase his own private vacation moon, a harem of mail-order brides, a clone of himself which he keeps frozen in case of emergencies, and the original Chewbacca costume.

This week Mooredrohn used a time machine to see the movie after its release, and be the first to write scathing snarky reviews.  Millions around the galaxy were outraged when Mooredrohn ruined several surprises of the movie without any warning of spoilers.

“Kirk’s love scene with Uhuru became intolerable when he started imagining she was Spock.  I had to start making out with my many girlfriends while we waited 6 and a half minutes for their man-love sex scene to be over.  Although, adding the Vulcan’s extra nipples was an interesting addition to the canon.”

In some star systems, unwarned spoilers are a capital offense, and warrants are out for Joss Mooredrohn’s arrest.

HAVANA, CUBA – Fidel Castro met with US lawmakers for the first time in years this Tuesday.  Political expert the Alien was on hand to assist with the talks. 
Washington is attempting to warm up relations with the communist country, including lifting the ban on American travel and the long held trade embargo.

The Alien, acting as an outside opinion, agreed that a furthered dialogue could be beneficial for both nations.

“The Cold War is long over.  There is no reason these two nations should not pursue a dialogue which could be mutually beneficial.”

Fidel Castro requested the Alien specifically to help mediate the meeting.  It was during the most heated portion of America’s relationship with Cuba that the Alien crash landed in Roswell New Mexico.  At the time Castro was obsessed with learning what advantages, technological or political, the Alien may be giving his cold war adversaries.  Finally seeing the Alien, knowing with certainty he exists and even talking with him, was the realization of a long held dream for Mr. Castro.

The meeting focused on the normalization between the two countries, and what that could mean.  Fidel and his brother Raul Castro believe that the Obama administration may be able to finally open the doors between the neighboring countries.

After the meeting Fidel took the Alien aside to ask about the part he played in “the old days.”  The Alien, although very polite, seemed very uncomfortable and kept giving the ‘help me’ signal to his fellow delegates.

The typically staunch communist leader seemed very keen on seeing improved US Cuba relations within his lifetime, and sent all the delegates home with large boxes of cigars and novelty military hat /fake beard sets.

SANTA FE, NM – Ties to an alien energy company have resulted in Governor Bill Richardson removing his name for consideration as future Commerce Secretary.

Governor Richardson is currently under federal investigation for steering government contracts in New Mexico towards a company that invested significant funds to his own political campaigns.

President-Elect Obama offered the Governor the position of Commerce Secretary as a result of Richardson’s impressive experience of job creation in New Mexico as well as investing in new sources of Green technology.

The Federal Investigation alleges that the CEO of the alien company Krullakz Energy Inc., Fwqqu Zxyvxy, donated thousands of dollars to Richardson’s gubernatorial campaigns as well as his most recent failed presidential campaign.  In exchange, Richardson pushed for no-bid contracts to be given to Krullakz for establishing Green energy infrastructure throughout the state.

“I don’t think this would be such a big deal if it were an American energy firm,” political analyst Donna Brazille said.  “The contracts Richardson created were actually extremely beneficial for the people of New Mexico and the nation.  It’s just that he did exclusive business with an alien company.”
