There’s a new trend among goldfish – the Hitler moustache!

Fashion for a Hitler-style stash is spreading through the animal kingdom with a goldfish called George now getting in on the act.

The five-year-old who belongs to Deborah Cochrane, from Belfast, has developed a distinctive black mark above his mouth which creates an uncanny resemblance to the fishist dictator.

George and a fellow goldfish that has died were named after the art duo Gilbert and George. George follows in the pawsteps of a string of cats who became nicknamed ‘Little Kitlers’ for the dark patches of fur below their noses.

According to his owner a moustache is not the only thing that George has in common with the famous Nazi.

The office worker said: ‘Like Hitler, George is vegetarian – he loves his peas.

VIENNA –   Sales of wine and schnapps with Adolf Hitler on the label are increasing all over Austria.

An Austrian website was selling bottles with portraits of Hitler and the swastika. The site offered sales of spirits in “nostalgic bottles of former historical greats.”

The man selling the wine and schnapps was identified only as Roland M.  Legal officials say he was motivated by profit, not ideology.

The prosecutor’s office said Thursday the man stopped sales when legal action against him started.

When German Justice Minister Brigitte Zypries recently called a line of Italian wines “tasteless,” she wasn’t referring to the grapes.

Since 1995, a winery in northern Italy called Azienda Vinicola Alessandro Lunardelli has produced a line of “historical” wines featuring images of important men of history on the label — among them, Napoleon, Che Guevara and Adolf Hitler.

The Hitler line — called “Fuehrerwein” and featuring pictures of Hitler and slogans from Nazi Germany on the label — made headlines worldwide this month after a family of Polish tourists found the wine in an Italian supermarket. The family brought a bottle back to Poland and handed it over to the Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza, which ran a photo of the bottle on its front page. Since then, vintner Alessandro Lunardelli has been under attack. Zypries wrote a letter to her Italian counterpart, Roberto Castelli, calling Fuehrerwein “contemptible and tasteless,” and asked Castelli to try to take the wines off the market. Castelli told Radio Padania, a northern Italian radio station, that there was nothing his office could do.

Fuehrerwein is only the latest effort to market images of Nazi Germany that has met with public outcry. In August, the Hong Kong-based clothing company Izzue took its Nazi-themed line out of stores after staunch protest from the Israeli and German embassies.

But Hitler continues to be a popular commercial draw for other businesses. Reuters reported earlier this week that Hitler’s Alpine retreat — the “Berghof” — has become a tourist hot spot, with over 100,000 visitors every year and a thriving gift shop filled with books and videos about Hitler and Eva Braun.

“There’s always been a perverse interest in World War II,” said Abraham Foxman, the director of the Anti-Defamation League. “You find a lot of Nazi memorabilia in gun shows, in auctions, on eBay… There’s something about evil that attracts people’s interests.”

Ron Guth, a California-based coin dealer who specializes in German coins and has sold Nazi-era coins to the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust, agreed that the current wave of “Nazi kitsch” has always been around to a certain extent. “I’d say 90% of [buyers of Nazi-era coins] are legitimate coin collectors,” Guth said. “And then you have 7% or 8 % who are interested in the historical aspects of World War II. Then you have 2% or 3% who are kooks who really believe in the stuff.”

Foxman said that Nazi imagery is a good way to attract attention. “The commercial people know that there’s this thing out there; it attracts people. They know it gets people’s attention… Where do you find a lot of it happening? In Asia and Southeast Asia, mostly. They don’t really have a concept of Hitler. I’ve seen a lot of really bizarre things [in Asia] — like [advertisements for] ‘German pianos at Jewish prices.’ It’s bizarre. There’s a bar named after Hitler.”

In a 2001 interview with the Associated Press, Lunardelli said that the historic labels were “a great marketing success.”

The Hitler wine, Lunardelli told the newspaper, is his bestseller, moving more than 30,000 bottles a year.

NASHVILLE – Not only did ESPN fire Hank Williams Jr. today – the Obama Administration had him deported to Cuba.

ESPN has officially pulled Hank Williams Jr.’s theme song  from NFL games – permanently.

ESPN released a statement, saying, “We appreciate his contributions over the past years.  The success of Monday Night Football has always been about the games and that will continue.”
In an interview Monday on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” Williams, unprompted, said of Obama’s outing on the links with House Speaker John Boehner: “It’d be like Hitler playing golf with (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu.”

Asked to clarify, Williams said, “They’re the enemy,” adding that by “they” he meant Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.

Williams later called his comments dumb — but never really apologized for saying them.

On his own website, Williams said he was the one who made the decision.

“After reading hundreds of e-mails, I have made MY decision,” he wrote. “By pulling my opening Oct 3rd, ESPN stepped on the Toes of The First Amendment Freedom of Speech, so therefore Me, My Song, and All My Rowdy Friends are OUT OF HERE. It’s been a great run.”

That got the attention of the White House.  “We can’t have people in the United States comparing the President to Hitler.  It could be dangerous,” said a source close to Jay Carney, The White House Press Secretary.

“The Obama Administration has decided to have Hank Williams Jr. deported for an indeterminate period of time,” said the source.   “We picked Cuba because we think Hank can learn to love and appreciate a totalitarian state.  It will be good for him.”

Williams, through his publicist, said on Monday: “Some of us have strong opinions and are often misunderstood. My analogy was extreme — but it was to make a point. I was simply trying to explain how stupid it seemed to me — how ludicrous that pairing was. They’re polar opposites and it made no sense. They don’t see eye-to-eye and never will. I have always respected the office of the president.”

Well, now he can respect Fidel Castro in Cuba.

PORT TENNANT SWANSEA, UK – An overly imaginative 20 something thinks that a house  looks like Hitler

Charli Dickenson, 22, recently tweeted about a house that resembles Adolph Hitler. When recently asked about her decision to post the picture of the racist house she was quoted with the following.

“I walk past the house all the time, but I had never noticed the Hitler likeness before. But then, at the weekend, I was in the car with my boyfriend and we were stuck in traffic and I just said to him, ‘That house looks like Hitler.’ We both laughed. I took a picture and posted it on Twitter.”

Hundreds of thousands of internet trolls have seen the image and claim that the slanted roof resembles Hitler’s quaff, the door lintel is his signature tiny moustache, and that the upper his eyes.

“My house doesn’t look like Hitler. That is the stupidest thing that I have ever heard. It is a house with a slanted roof. What kind of idiot sees Hitler in that!” exclaimed one of the owners of the house who happen to be an elderly Jewish couple that knows little about the internet and nothing about Twitter.

“I tend to agree with the owner that it does not look like Hitler. However, I do think that this house looks like Charlie Chaplin.”

Or maybe more like John Waters.

Or maybe more like John Waters with Charlie Chaplin’s hat.

I’m madder than Winston Churchill at an A.A. meeting! Just when I figured Al Gore couldn’t get any nuttier, yesterday he made a fool of himself again.

He gave a speech at some fancy British college, and told the kids that fighting global warming was like fighting Hitler.

Well, global warming and World War II both had something to do with “gas”, but other than that, I don’t get it. I didn’t drop out of divinity school like Al Gore did, and I didn’t invent the internet or get a hoity toity Nobel Prize, so can somebody explain his speech to me?

If the sun is Hitler, does that make the moon Mussolini? Are polar bears the Poles? Are cow farts the Kamikaze? OK, Japan was the Land of the Rising Sun but this is ridiculous!

Reading his speech, it’s pretty clear Al Gore thinks he’s the Winston Churchill in all this. Well, he’s fat enough, but that’s about it. I can’t believe Al would think much of Churchill’s famous cigars – don’t they cause pollution? Not as much as Gore’s Lear jet and two SUVs, I’ll bet.

So, is Gore planning on ending global warming by nuking the sun? Twice?

Besides, it was Hitler who started the first anti-smoking campaign. You’d think Al would like him for that!

The trouble with Al Gore’s speech is that nobody’s ever died of global warming, World War II wasn’t a scam FDR cooked up to make money (although I wouldn’t put it past the S.O.B…) and the sun hasn’t bombed Pearl Harbor.

Plus nobody has to hide their Cadillacs and those old-fashioned light bulbs in their attics. Well, not yet, anyhow…
