Now, in 2012, religious leaders will announce the location of The Footprint of God.  It will soon become the most popular religious site on the planet.

Trippy, the beloved dog of New England Patriot coach, Bill Belichick, is in a deep depression following the Super Bowl.

The Belichick family is deeply concerned about their dog, Trippy (named after a sideline technique that Belichick developed).

A Super Bowl spycam caught Trippy on the sideline in the final seconds of the Super Bowl in Indianapolis on Sunday.

Since then Trippy has refused to eat and only laps at his Tom Brady Bowl twice or three times a day.

“We are VERY concerned,” said Belichick’s girlfriend, Linda Holliday.  ”Bill is depressed about the game, but Trippy is despondent.”

Trippy is reportedly always by Belichick’s side during Patriot practices.  Some say Trippy always looks depressed, but “that’s just the Belichick look,” said a friend of a Patriot cornerback.

Gisele Bundchen, Tom Brady’s wife, weighed in on Trippy’s depression.  ”Who cares about the damn dog?!  Can the dog catch a football?!  If he can, he should replace the rotten receivers Tommy has to throw to.”

Trippy reportedly bit Gisele on the ankle last summer. “They don’t like each other,” said a source close to the Patriots.

Patriots fans say that they saw one of the Giants’ players kick Trippy on the sideline, but WWN can not confirm that rumor.

Stunned U.S. Navy scientists have found a gigantic human skull lying half buried on the ocean floor… and researchers say the discovery proves that man once stood nearly 200 feet tall!

The skull measures 20 feet, 3 inches across and may have rested undisturbed in the waters of the North Atlantic for more than a million years, a top-secret government report reveals.

“This has got to bed the archaeological discovery of the century, and probably of all time,” insisted a government scientist who leaked details of the report – and a chilling photo of the skull itself – to Weekly World News this week.

“That thing is going to rewrite the history of human evolution from top to bottom. For the first time ever, we’ve uncovered a form of man that would have towered over the dinosaurs the way we tower over a cocker spaniel.”

A Pentagon spokesman denied any knowledge of the bizarre discovery and called the notion of a 20-foot human skull “the most farfetched thing I’ve heard in a while.”

But documents shown to Weekly World News reveal that crewmen aboard a Navy research sub found the enormous skull while testing a new form of armored diving gear in the sea east of Newfoundland on September 23.

The documents indicate that an unnamed diver stumbled across the hair-raising remains partially buried in silt 1,600 feet down.

“I was there and I can tell you, everybody was pretty shook-up,” said the scientist who leaked the story. “Nobody could believe what they were seeing.

“But everybody quickly regained their composure and initiated efforts to recover the skull intact and bring it successfully aboard ship.”

The source said a team of scientists is currently examining the ancient skull in a government-funded laboratory outside Washington, D.C. “And you’d better believe they’re got divers swarming all over that area of the ocean looking for more bits and pieces of the old body,” he said.

“You want to get all the evidence you can if you’re going to start telling people that men once stood 200 feet tall and weighed 6,000 pounds. I’m not an anthropologist or an archaeologist, but I’m sure they also want to know when and how he got out in the middle of the ocean like that.”

The scientist, who insisted on anonymity, said he leaked details of the discovery because he’s convinced it never should have been secret in the first place. “This is not the sort of thing that has any strategic or military importance whatsoever,” he said.

“We’re talking about rewriting the history of mankind here – and that kind of information should be shared with all mankind as quickly and openly as possible.”

UPDATE: Houston Rockets’ Carl Landry was shot in the leg early this morning during a failed robbery. Was the same leprechaun from Plaxico Burress’ injury involved?

According to Landry, his car was bumped by another vehicle; when he got out to inspect the damage, he was shot at by the vehicle’s passengers before they sped off. He only suffered a “flesh wound” on his leg, and will be able to play again in a couple weeks.

Is Landry’s story true? Or was this some kind of repeat of Plaxico Burress’ gun incident last year? Can it really be a coincidence that this happened on St. Patrick’s Day?

NEW YORK, NY – Plaxico Burress has finally admitted who – or what – he was aiming at when he accidentally shot himself.

On Friday, November 28, Giants receiver Plaxico Burress left a New York City nightclub after accidentally shooting himself in his right thigh. Burress checked into a hospital under a pseudonym but was soon recognized by hospital staff members and the media was notified.

After taking counsel with his lawyer, Burress finally surrendered to the police on Monday, with an explanation they were not expecting: Burress was aiming at a leprechaun who had been getting fresh with his wife!

Weekly World News tracked the leprachaun down for his side of the story. Seamus O’Shaughnessy said to reporters “I dinnea lay a hand on the lass tha’ she dinnea want!  She made the first move sure as I’m standin’ here!  He asked for an apology, an’ sure enough he got it!  Not my fault if the daftie tripped over his sweatpants an nearly blew off his John Thomas.”

However before O’Shaughnessy could answer any further questions he disappeared with the reporter’s wallet and pants.
