JAKARTA, Indonesia — Indonesian authorities have arrested two men for carrying 40 pythons on board a flight to Dubai.

Jakarta airport official Salahudin Rafi says the two Kuwaitis were about to enter the departure area Friday when X-rays showed their bags were filled with sedated snakes.

Fourteen passengers have died from snake bites, including two flight attendants and one of the pilots.

The men told investigators they planned to sell the pythons to collectors in the United Arab Emirates.

The men are being questioned after being charged with carrying wild animals on board the Emirates plane, attempted murder and murder.  They could face up to seventy years in jail and a fine of $30 million and the death penalty.

In December, police at Abu Dhabi’s airport stopped a passenger who passed through an Indonesian airport carrying a box containing four snakes, two parrots and a squirrel.  But that passenger was stopped.

What have they done with the pythons?  Well, PETA has stepped in to protect the pythons, but the UAE authorities want the snakes beheaded and fed to the camels.  We’ll see who wins that battle?

Thessaloniki, Greece.  Snorkel with the Kraken off the shores of this Mediterranean isle.  Enjoy dinner on a restaurant patio overlooking the cliffs where the local Sirens perform nightly.

London, UK.  Like most advanced life forms in the galaxy we all know the prophecy of what will happen to this great metropolis in 2012.  Book a space now to see the fireworks!

Dubai.  Due to a well concealed zombie outbreak no one else is here now.  And someone needs to stay in all those new hotels.

King William Island, Northern Canada.  Big game hunters will want to catch the Tuunboq, a giant snow monster which can eat humans whole.  Enjoy the psychic enhancing effects of being near the magnetic north pole.

CHICAGO, IL – Sam Zell has met privately with an Alien contingent representing the interests of Weekly World News. It appears he is currently in talks to sell Tribune to Weekly World News.

Reached for comment, Zell stated, “Alien investors are not constrained by time-space horizons and so they view debt in a totally different way than we might view it on Earth. Even with all the doom and gloom on this planet these guys still think Earth is a viable market and they like our properties.

The only thing they won’t touch is Dubai since it’s overblown and they don’t agree with the regulations involving human social interaction there.”

Zell went on to say that Merrill Lynch would provide backing for the deal as Lynch CEO John Thain has a direct relationship with the Aliens, as previously reported by Weekly World News.
