CONWAY, SC – A man caught “being intimate” with a horse has been sentenced to three years in prison!

Rodell Vereen was caught by a surveillance camera sneaking into the Lazy B stables and taking advantage of one of the horses.

Barbara Kenley, owner of the stables, had set up the camera after having had previous problems with Vereen. He was caught last year with the same exact horse! At the time he pleaded guilty and was only given probation.

However, Kenley had her suspicions he was back, and set up the camera in July. “Police kept telling me it couldn’t be the same guy,” Kenley said. “I couldn’t believe that there were two guys going around doing this to the same horse.”

After finally catching him on tape, she staked out her own stables until Vereen showed up again. She held him at shotgun point until cops arrived to arrest him.

Kenley said she thought about shooting him but decided not to. “Everyone around here has horses,” Kenley said. “And they all said the same thing. You should have shot him.”

Vereen has pleaded guilty to buggery, and received a sentence of three years in prison, mandatory counseling and a ban from going near the stables.

CONWAY, AR – The 9th Annual Stuck on a Truck was held over the weekend. How long did the winner stay touching the truck?

Stuck on a Truck is an annual competition held outside the Centennial Bank in Conway, Arkansas. Contestants surround that year’s 1st place prize-always a vehicle-and place their hands on it. Whoever is the last person to remain touching it without having let go  is the winner.

Doesn’t sound so hard? Keep in mind, there is no sitting, squatting or leaning allowed.  A five minute break is allowed each hour and a 15 minute break is given every six hours, but otherwise the contestants must remain awake and on their feet for upwards of 98 hours straight!

The contest started last Thursday at noon, with 25 participants. By Saturday morning, even after vicious thunderstorms swept through the area, 21 were still standing. Supporters cheered from the bleachers next to the truck, but many of the challengers soon began fading.

The contest finally finished this morning when, almost four full days after it had begun, Chuck Speer was the last man standing. Speer has stated he will be giving the truck to his wife.
