Newly released interviews taken soon after JFK’s assassination show  a wild side to Jackie Kennedy.

The unprecedented trove of interviews recorded by historian Arthur Schlesinger in 1964, four months after John F. Kennedy was gunned down in Dallas, was presented in a two-hour special on ABC television and published in a book and CDs set .

In more than eight hours of interviews, Jackie’s love for her husband shines through – though she does mention her husband’s infidelities.

He was “the most unselfconscious person I’ve ever seen,” she says, then aged 34.

She recounts how her deceased husband, who was 12 years her senior, used to teach their daughter Caroline how to swim, and how he would read books in the bath, at the table, and even while dressing. The president, she says, liked to take his naps in pajamas.

Self-effacingly, Jackie Kennedy also insists her role was always to serve her husband and never to enter politics herself.

“I get all my opinions from my husband… How could I have any political opinions, you know? His were going to be the best,” she said.

Her marriage, she explained, was “Victorian or Asiatic,” meaning that she did not expect independence. Her role was to create “a climate of affection and comfort and detente when he came home.”

“I think a woman always adapts, and especially if you’re very young when you get married. You know, you really become the kind of wife you can see that your husband wants,” she sad.

But that deliberately humble self-portrait is combined in the tapes with a sassy, provocative bluntness about what she observed from her privileged perch in world affairs.

She spills the beans on her husband’s apparent disdain for his own vice president, Lyndon Johnson, recalling him saying: “‘Oh, God, can you ever imagine what would happen to the country if Lyndon was president?’”

She is scathing about a string of revered international figures, calling French leader Charles de Gaulle “full of spite” and the French in general “not very nice” and “all for themselves.”

Indira Gandhi, who was to become Indian prime minister, was a “bitter, kind of pushy, horrible woman.”

And even US civil rights icon Martin Luther King comes in for her acid tongue: he was a “phony.”

In an interview with ABC, Caroline Kennedy said her own children were “absolutely horrified” at Jackie Kennedy’s apparently pre-feminism views on the wife’s role in marriage.

“Of course time has moved on and it shows you both there are many timeless things in here but it really is a snapshot of a world that we barely recognize,” Caroline Kennedy told ABC.

The book and audio set is titled “Jacqueline Kennedy: Historic Conversations on Life with John F. Kennedy.”

The tapes are full of personal bombshells, too – they reveal what was really going on in the White House while JFK was President,” said on expert, a highly placed individual in the publishing world.

They show what the Kennedy family was like, what Jacki’s personal opinions actually were and what she and other individuals really said and did behind the scenes.

Among the other revelations:

• JFK seduced as many as 10 women a week in the White House, including of course, the famous movie star Marilyn Monroe.  Jackie know abut JFK’s numerous affairs, but didn’t care because she had lost all romantic feelings for her husband.”I caught Jack with one of his women one night,” Jackie says in the interview.  ”I didn’t bother to confront him.  I got used
• to his betrayals”
• Jackie and JFK rarely made love after John-John was born.  Jackie’s third pregnancy with Patrick was planned to help JFK win votes for the White House. After the birth and death of their second son, the pair never went to bed  together again.
• A bored Jackie dropped acid in the White House – twice.
• Jackie had a hopeless crush on Actor Richard Burton and secretly wished to marry him.  She eventually followed up on her feelings and invited him to the White House when jack was away.  They made love in Lincoln’s bedroom.”He was my ideal man,” she wrote in her diaries.  ”He is talented, passionate and masculine.  He lives life fully, even though he’s in the public eye.  He has courage – oh, how I admire that! I often wonder what my life would be like if I were married to him.”
• Jackie and Marilyn Monroe once had a hair-pulling, face-scratching brawl in the Green Room of the White House.  This, surprisingly, led to the the two women making love – in the Lincoln Bedroom.
• Jackie was a chain smoker so addicted to cigarettes that she could not stop smoking even when she was pregnant.
• Jackie desperately wanted to be with Elvis Presley.

NEW YORK – Sources say tapes released reveal that Jackie Kennedy believed Lyndon Johnson was also the  mastermind behind RFK’s assassination.

Tapes recorded by the First Lady months after the President’s death are to be released ahead of schedule by her daughter Caroline.

In the tapes, to be broadcast by ABC, Kennedy reveals her belief that Johnson and a cabal of Texas tycoons orchestrated the murder of her husband by gunman Lee Harvey Oswald AND, sources close to an insider at ABC said that the tapes also reveal that Jackie believed Johnson also orchestrated the murder of Bobby Kennedy.

Kennedy, who later became Jackie Onassis, claims on the tapes that the Los Angeles murder was part of a larger conspiracy by Johnson to keep Robert Kennedy from becoming President.

President Johnson reportedly never liked Bobby and didn’t want him to become the Democratic nominee for President.  Johnson was jealous because Bobby was younger and much better looking than he was.

Robert Kennedy, the brother of John F. Kennedy, was assassinated  shortly after midnight on June 5, 1968,. After winning the California primary election   for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States, Kennedy was shot as he walked through the kitchen of the Ambassador Hotel and died twenty-six hours later.

Sirhan Sirhan, 24-year-old Palestinian immigrant, was convicted of Kennedy’s murder and is serving a life sentence for the crime. The shooting was recorded on audio tape by a freelance newspaper reporter, and the aftermath was captured on film.

But rumors by insiders who have sources close to people who know about the tapes, say that Jackie Kennedy reveals, on tape, that President Johnson had met with Sirhan Sirhan three weeks prior in the White House.  Sirhan Sirhan was taking a White House tour, when Johnson complimented him on his shoes.

ABC executives have confirmed that the revelations in the tapes are ‘explosive’ with Jackie Kennedy allegedly blaming President Lyndon Johnson for the death of JFK.   The tapes were made in 1964, 1968 and 1970.  ABC executives have not confirmed that Jackie says that Lyndon Johnson had anything to do with Bobby’s death, but unreliable sources close to ABC say that this is definitely a second bombshell on the tapes.

Some sources close to tapes recorded by Dick Cavett stored in a vault in Bayonne, say that Lyndon Johnson was also responsible for the death of Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix.  “He was a wild Texan,” the Bayonne insider said.

They have been stored in a sealed vault at the Kennedy Library in Boston after orders from Mrs Kennedy that they would remain secret for 50 years after her death.

Now, 17 years after her mother died from cancer, daughter Caroline has opted to release the tapes early.

She has entered an agreement with the ABC network in the States who will air the tapes after agreeing to cancel their Kennedys drama series which upset Caroline and the Kennedy family.

The $10 million series starred Tom Cruise’s wife Kate Holmes as Jackie Kennedy and critically charted the family’s political and personal trials and tribulations since the 1930s. It has now been dropped in a deal with Caroline concerning these tapes.

ABC executives have confirmed that the revelations in the tapes are ‘explosive’ with Jackie Kennedy allegedly blaming President Lyndon Johnson for the death of JFK.

It is believed the tapes also include the suggestion that President Kennedy was having an affair with a 19-year-old White House intern with his wife even claiming that she found underwear in their bedroom.

Jackie Kennedy also admits to several affairs of her own in the tapes – one with Hollywood star William Holden and another with Fiat founder Gianni Agnelli – in  retaliation for the President’s indiscretions.

There are also claims that the couple had discussed having more children in the weeks before his death.

Noted Kennedy family historian and author Edward Klein said: “Jackie regarded the pretty young things in the White House as superficial flings for Jack. She did retaliate by having her own affairs.

“There was a period during which she was delighted to be able to annoy her husband with her own illicit romances.”

I’m madder than Sirhan Sirhan at a parole hearing about all these damn Kennedys!

This week RFK Jr. said that pig farmers were “a greater threat to the United States and U.S. democracy than Osama bin Laden and his terrorist network.”

Well, unless pigs really can fly – into big giant buildings – I don’t get it. Something to do with that air pollution stuff. I guess I’m not as educated as all these Kennedys, with their fancy diplomas.

Then again, I’m not as accident prone as they are either. Those Kennedys best steer clear of any and all motor vehicles on land, sea and air, the way Superman needs to stay away from that kryptonite stuff.

I’ll never understand why everybody thinks those Kennedys are so wonderful. Sure, they have nice hair. But otherwise they seem pretty silly. That Princess Caroline made a heck of a fool of herself when they thought they’d make her a politician, saying “you know, you know” every other second. If having a famous last name is all it takes to get to run the country, we should at least pick “Washingtons” and “Jeffersons”.

Oh well, the Kennedys seem to be trying anyway. Ted’s fattened himself up so he’ll float next time. And one of the girls married The Terminator so’s to try to breed ‘em bulletproof from now on.

Otherwise I reckon they’d better quit making fun of farmers and other hard working, God-fearing Americans. It’s a good thing all the Kennedy’s nannies and maids can’t read English or we’d have a riot on our hands!

CHICAGO, IL – President-Elect Barack Obama will soon be appointing members to his cabinet, and insiders are predicting one surprising addition.

While it is still early yet, speculations have already begun on who Obama will be selecting to join his presidential cabinet in January 2009. Names like John Kerry, Caroline Kennedy, Colin Powell and Bill Richardson have been bandied about, but one name in particular stands out: Obatma.

When asked about the possibility at a brief press conference, Obama explained, “Look, I want to clarify, this would not be an act of nepotism. Obatma is an intelligent, cool-headed mutant, wise beyond his years.

“If he were ready, willing and able to take the position, I would happily make him the Commissioner of my newly created Bureau of Mutant Affairs.”

Obatma was unavailale for comment, as he is currently in the swamps of Gallatin County taking a well-earned break from campaigning for Obama.
