NEW YORK, NY – Britney Spears’ “Circus” has topped the charts this week, and she is ready to celebrate!

Spears’ comeback is officially a success after her sixth album debuted at the top of Billboard’s sales charts. Her accomplishment comes less than a year after a downward spiral of personal problems that threatened to end her career. Barry Weiss, chairman and CEO of the BMG Label Group, stated, “People are just loving how she is doing right now.”

Perhaps this is why they have been keen to keep her nighttime antics as “Batney” a secret. Britney has befriended the country’s most lovable mutant, and the pair have been spotted causing juvenile mischief in the wee hours, when she is able to escape her handlers.

Batney celebrated her album’s success with Bat Boy at a private club in New York City. Neither of them drank alcohol, but did get extremely hyper after overloading on sugary Shirley Temples.

Bat Boy then presented her with his own homemade gold record, fashioned from bat guano and used tinfoil he had collected.

When a fan spotted the singer, the pair fled into the night, hightailing it to Central Park where Bat Boy showed her how to catch mosquitoes: running through a field at high speed with your mouth wide open.

Batney could be heard squealing, “BEST NIGHT EVER! BEST NIGHT EVER!”

LOS ANGELES, CA – Britney Spears has finally broken free of her keepers!

Over the past year, Britney has been under lock and key after a number of disturbing incidents, including shaving her head and losing visitation rights to her children. Only recently has she started coming back into the spotlight with numerous TV performances and a highly anticipated new album.

But Britney is still very much in the care of an army of handlers, and discussed her lack of freedom in MTV’s “Britney: For the Record”. So who would have guessed that the person to save her would be but a lowly mutant?

In the past week, Ms. Spears has begun to act very differently. During the day she may still be Britney, but at night, she is BATney, causing mischief around town with the one and only Bat Boy!

Eyewitnesses have reported seeing the two giggling and hiding behind bushes outside popular night spots. When the time is right they jump out shrieking at passing paparazzi, who run for their lives.

They have also been spotted TP’ing her ex-husband’s house and throwing eggs at Adnan Ghalib, her former lover and F-list celeb.

Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, refused to confirm these reports to Weekly World News reporters, but stated, “If it was her, and I’m not saying it is, well at least she’d be having fun. That little bat boy is kinda creepy, but he seems like a good kid.”

Is Bat Boy using Britney to get publicity? Or does he just want to show her how to be happy again?

LOS ANGELES, CA – After revealing herself in the MTV documentary “Britney: For the Record”, Britney Spears turned to an old friend for support.

PhD Ape, psychiatrist to the stars, and long-time friend to the troubled singer, will travel to Los Angeles early this week to spend time with Spears.

MTV aired “For The Record” this past Sunday, an in-depth tell all program in which Britney tries to explain her many shenanigans over the past few year.  Spears, who has seen more negative headlines than number one singles, is looking for some positive media coverage as her latest album is slated to drop this week.

During the program, Spears gushes about her relationship with PhD Ape.

“Over the past several years, he has always been there for me.  When the press, the record companies, my hair dresser all abandoned me, you know who was still right by my side to wipe the tears and dust the hair clippings off my shoulder?  Not my deadbeat ex-husband or even the paparazzi.  It was PhD Ape.”

Spears repaid her debt by performing at the Nobel Prize Award Ceremony in Sweden earlier this year, pictured above, where PhD Ape received the Award for Medicine.

“Britney is a wonderful young woman who is not always surrounded by people who have her best interest in mind,” PhD Ape told reporters.  “When a young, talented, beautiful girl acts as a money-tree for so many people, its only a matter of time before financial concerns are put ahead of personal concerns.”

“While I cannot speak for the quality of the record, I can speak for the quality of the artist.  She is a number one single and a gold record in my book any day of the week!”
