CANBERRA, Australia — A newly discovered horse fly in Australia was so “bootylicious” with its golden-haired butt, that entomologists named it: Beyonce.

Previously published results from Bryan Lessard, a 24-year-old researcher at Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization, were recently announced on the species that had been sitting in a fly collection since it was captured in 1981 – the same year pop diva Beyonce was born.

He says he wanted to pay respect to the insect’s beauty by naming it Scaptia (Plinthina) beyonceae.

Lessard said Beyonce would be “in the nature history books forever” and that the fly now bearing her name is “pretty bootylicious” with its golden backside.

“Bootylicious” was the title of a song by Beyonce’s previous group, Destiny’s Child.

It’s unknown if the rare species is a bloodsucker like many female horse flies. Lessard says he was unable to find any live specimens when he went looking in 2010 in northeast Queensland’s Atherton Tablelands, where it was captured three decades ago. However, at least one member of the public has alerted him that he was recently bitten by what’s locally called the “gold bum fly.”

The description of the fly was earlier published in the Australian Journal of Entomology, but the results were announced last week.

Lessard says he hasn’t heard from Beyonce, who recently gave birth to her first child, but he is a fan and hopes she will take his scientific gesture as a compliment. He also said the name was picked to help draw attention to the importance of his field and the need for more researchers to catalog and study insects.

Horse flies are “vital pollinators of native plants, not just in Australia, but all over the world,” Lessard said. “It’s extremely important to name all the undescribed species so we can measure our human impact on the environment and hopefully protect it for future generations to enjoy.”

The horse fly, of which there are around 4,400 species worldwide, serves as an important pollinator of many plants. He explained: “Horse flies act like hummingbirds during the day, drinking nectar from their favorite varieties of grevillea, tea trees and eucalypts.”

However, it’s not only the fly’s spectacular behind that led to it being named after the Bootylicious star. This particular horse fly was first collected by scientists in the same year that Beyoncé was born – 1981.

“Most Australian Scaptia species have been described, however, these five ‘new’ species of a sub-group (Plinthina) have been housed in Australian collections since the group was last studied in the 1960s,” Lessard said.

The buzz started after photos and videos hit the Web that appeared to show her bulging mid-section to collapse as she sat down during the Australian talk show Sunday Night HD, suggesting she had a prosthetic stomach and that a surrogate was carrying her child.

The rumors are causing worldwide speculation as to whether Beyonce is pregnant – or not – and if she is NOT pregnant, then why on earth is she faking her pregnancy?

But her rep, Yvette Noel-Schure,  told WWN the fake-bump rumors are “stupid, ridiculous and false.”   But there are many sources close to Beyonce and Jay-Z that are saying it is true.  “She’s not pregnant, though she really wants to be pregnant,” said Lenina Darling, a friend of someone who knows a roadie for Beyonce.

The pop diva, 30, says she and Jay-Z are expecting their first child in February.

CAMBRIDGE, U.K. – New research done by the University of Cambridge proves conclusively that Christopher Columbus was black.

DNA analysis of the remains of Christopher Columbus, done by forensic scientists at the University of Cambridge, prove beyond a shadow a doubt that the famed navigator was of African descent.

“A five-hundred-year-mystery has been solved,”  said Wellington Malley, the head of the Cambridge research team.  “Even though Columbus was born in Genoa, and spoke and wrote in Spanish most of his life, the DNA is clear – Columbus was 100% African.  We believe he was from the west coast, probably from what is now Cameroon.”

“No way!”, said Carlo Minucci of Bayonne, New Jersey.  “Columbus is a full-blooded Italian-America.  He sailed here with his friends Nina and Pinta  and discovered Hoboken.  That’s the way it went down.  He’s not black.  This is our day!”

Sorry, Carlo.  It’s the truth. .. Some of the remains of Christopher Columbus were found in Seville Cathedral, in Spain, and some bones were buried in Santo Domingo Cathedral in the Dominican Republic.  “All of the bones and the remains from both locations have been checked and rechecked.  He’s black.”

Columbus died in 1506.  In 1537, the widow of his son Diego was allowed to take the bones of both her husband and his father to the Dominican Republic for burial in the cathedral of Santo Domingo.  Diego was also black.

Not all African-Americans were pleased to know learn about Columbus’s ethnic identity.   “What?  Columbo was a thug, a punk.  He sailed out over here and slaughtered the Indians, ” said Fred Johnson of Harlem.  “I think the whole thing is bogus, trying to pin a crime on blacks again.  This is B.S.”

But President Obama heard news over the weekend and was proud to know that one of the greatest sailors and navigators of all time was black.  “I’m ordering all statues and monuments to Christopher Columbus be taken down and redone.  We want his likeness to be accurate.”

Mayor Bloomberg in New York said that the big Italian-American parade down 5th Avenue would be changed to an African-American parade in honor of Christopher Columbus.

“Fuggedabout it,” said Tony Cinelli of Brooklyn.  “This ain’t right.  This is the only Italian day we get.  And they take it away from us?  We get no respect.  Next thing you know they’ll be telling us that the Chinese invented pasta.”

The Grand Marshall of this year’s Columbus Day Parade – Maria Bartiromo has been replaced by Beyonce.

Native-American were indifferent to the news.  “Either way we got screwed,” said Chief Walking Stick,  a Navajo Indian.

Lady Gaga loses number one spot to Eminem on Facebook

Even though Eminem did not walk away with the Grammy’s Album of the Year award, again, that did not stop him from bulldozing his way to the top of the social network.

Until now, Lady Gaga was the reigning queen of Facebook as the most “liked” artist on the popular social networking site. But now queen Gaga has been dethroned and the internet has now crowned a new queen king, Eminem.

Eminem surpassed Lady Gaga’s “like” total of 28,872,000 by implementing a guerilla style internet campaign to “get his like on” garnering him a staggering 35,659,000 total “likes” in no time. Em achieved this immense margin by gaining in excess of a million “likes” a week and the trend does not seem to be stopping.

When Gaga heard the news she was enraged beyond belief.

“I cannot believe the tactics that he used to achieve this status,” exclaimed Gaga, “What he did here was unconscionable and I, for one, will not stand for it!”

Having her internet hands tied over the matter, she decided to take the matter into her literal hands. Lady Gaga has publicaly challenged Eminem to a fight. That’s right an old school 3 o’clock, parking lot style throw down.

The fight is scheduled to take place later next month in the parking lot of an abandoned GM factory in Detroit. Gaga said that she would allow the fight to be on Em’s home turf since she called him out.

“I’m gonna f**k that bitch up! She don’t know what she done got herself into!” retaliated Eminem.

Several other stars plan to attend the brawl and they are taking sides.

Team Eminem currently has a roster of Dr. Dre, Llyod Banks, Lil Wayne, and, surprisingly, Sir Elton John.

Team Gaga, to date, consists of with Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Yoko Ono, and Yanni.

“There was a lot of talk in Hollywood as to which side Elton would take. His decision was a bit of a shock to us all especially after the announcement that Lady Gaga would be the godmother of his adopted son,” said Extra’s Mario Lopez, “But my money is on Gaga, Yoko is one mean bitch and Yanni fights dirty.”

LOS ANGELES -  At last night’s Grammys, Kim Kardashian had a butt emergency.  Her butt busted out of her dress!

There was a major crisis at last night’s Grammys.  Some say it was the biggest fashion emergency in the history of fashion.

Kim Kardashian’s butt broke through her dress.  Here she is the moment before the crisis occurred:

Kim Karadashian told WWN:  I took my dress to another tailor and he tailored it to where my whole butt wouldn’t fit in it. I was freaking out.  He adjusted it right before the show, but he didn’t let it out enough!”

Witnesses said that it looked like a butt explosion.  That would make sense because last year Kim had a real butt explosion when her butt implants burst.

At the Grammy’s designers rushed to her side and re-sewed the ass of her dress, because Kim’s livelihood was at stake.  “Without her butt, without it looking big and tight… she’s ruined,” said designer Kaufman Franco.

Several hip-hop and rap star stars (Dr. Dre, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Drake) also rushed to Kim’s side.  “Man, you gotta to protect a booty like that… That baby got back and we want to keep that back, looking tight!”  Jay-Z said.  Beyonce didn’t like Jay-Z staring at Kim’s butt, so she did a little Butt Strutting herself:

PARIS – Lady Gaga  was devastated over her canceled Paris show.
Earlier this month Weekly World News  Senior Editor, Frank Lake, recently reported that Christmas would be canceled in Britain due to severe arctic weather conditions. Now Mother Nature has attacked Europe once again. The unthinkable has occurred; a Lady Gaga concert was canceled in Paris due to a massive blizzard.

The Grammy-nominated superstar was supposed to perform at Paris’ Bercy Stadium on Sunday, but plans took a turn for the worse when old man winter released his wrath on her convoy of trucks and tour bus. French authorities banned all trucks and buses from entering the city due to many of the roads being unserviceable.

Gaga, was trapped in her tour bus over 26 hours during the deluge of snow and frozen rain. What made matters even worse was that the bathroom on the bus was clogged.

“We are having 2 pee n poo in tin cans and plastic bottles. This is awful,” tweeted Gaga about the horrific experience.  Though she did film her crew going to the bathroom in bottles for her next video.

All of her tour trucks containing lights, sound equipment and several variations of outfits made of raw meat were detained by French officials. In addition, two of Gaga’s employees were arrested as they attempted to enter the city of lights.

“We had to get the meat outfits to a new refrigeration unit as soon as possible,” explained Seth Miller, roadie for the Gaga for Gaga Tour. The units had died on the truck containing the beef and lamb apparel causing the crew to panic and attempt to break through the barricades outside of the city, resulting in their detainment.

“Today’s canceled Paris show is rescheduled for Tuesday, 2night’s show will happen as planned. I promise to give u the nights of ur life,” she tweeted Sunday.

Gaga also announced that she plans to take grammar and spelling lessons to help with her tweeting.

CHICAGO – Nurses in a maternity ward were knocked off their feet when they heard an unborn baby rapping  - in his mother’s womb!

“I would never have believed it if I hadn’t heard it with my own ears,” added Agnes Couperin, a nurses’ aide in a private hospital northwest of Chicago.

“I had just prepared the patient for an acoustic procedure that enables mothers-to-be to hear the heartbeat and the other little gurgles their unborn babies make in the womb.

“As soon as I turned on the amplifier, the sound of a rapper reverberated in the examining room. At first, I thought someone had turned on a radio.  But the amplifier clearly showed that the rapping had to be coming from the patient’s tummy.

“I don’t know much about hip-hop or rap,  but the little boy could throw down as good as Eminem or Lil’ Wayne, that’s a fact.  One of the other nurses who was there said he thought the boy was rapping “Not Afraid” – Eminem’s latest hit.

“All I know is it was clear as a bell and the rhymes were the best I’ve ever heard.  The language was a little R-rated, but it was the best raps I’ve ever heard.”

The only ones not surprised at the incredible crooning fetus are the parents, who are identified only as Donovan and Jamila  They said their unborn pride dan joy began rapping in the womb six months after she was conceived.

“it’s a miracle… a gift from God which we accept with humility and gratitude,” said Donovan a professional musician whose father sang with The Temptations.

“Jamila and I are hip-hop fans.  We play Beyonce and Jay-Z  night and day at full volume.  It’s no wonder our unborn baby has already acquired our love for opera.

“We both cried with utter joy and happiness when, lying in bed one night, we first heard that small voice rapping, Forget About Dre.

“In the beginning, I had to put my head to Angela’s belly to heard her the rap clearly. Now we can hear my son’s raps can be heard clear across the room.

Jamila explained that when not listening to Kanye West and other  rap artists, she and Donovan are singing or humming R&B tunes.

“It’s only natural that our little baby has followed suit,” shad added.  “In fact, we went to a psychologist, who tells us it’s common for children tolerant and retain words and sons, they hear while in the womb.”

Sound experts have listened to the singing fetus and have confirmed that no ventriloquism, tape recordings or any kind of trickeration is involved.

The quality of the son’s voice is extremely high, declared an acoustics expert asked not be identified.  But I detected an occasional gurgle between breaths. Doctors tell me that’s probably because the wombs is filled with fluid.  “That makes the fetus sound, at times , ass though he’s using auto-tune.

RHINEBECK, NY -  Chelsea Clinton’s wedding was crashed by celebrities, aliens and a dictator.

Chelsea Clinton’s lavish wedding to her longtime beau, Marc Mezvinsky was interrupted by several prominent wedding crashers who managed to get past the Secret Service.

Somehow Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn got into the wedding.  “We didn’t even notice them, they just blended in,” said Agent Steve Barnes of the FBI.  “They were dancing up a storm and Vaughn even gave a beautiful toast to the bride and groom.”

Ahmadinejad was recognized by Secret Service, but after patting him down and asking for his identification, the Secret Service determined that he wasn’t a threat.  “Even though Marc is Jewish and Mahmoud wants to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, we really didn’t see any problem with letting him in.  He does a wicked Macarena.”

Two aliens seemed to come and go as they pleased.  They took full advantage of the open bar, but they were very disappointed to learn that Chelsea was a vegan. One of the aliens spoke to Frank Lake of WWN, who also crashed the wedding, and said “When we come down to earth we want to eat meat.  What is this with all this vegan crap, and gluten-free stuff.  What the hell is going on down here with food?”

Michael Jackson made a brief appearance, grabbed one of the guest’s baby and dangled it from the balcony of the beautiful estate.  He sang a beautiful rendition of  “Blood on the Dance Floor,” and then disappeared.

Kanye West was the most difficult of the wedding crashers.  He was kicked out by the Secret Service but just when Chelsea was about to say her “I Do” to Marc, Kanye grabbed the microphone and told the guests that Beyonce would have been a better bride for Marc.  “Nothing against you Chelsea girl, but Beyonce has a much better body.”  Secret Service agents rushed over, grabbed Kanye and beat the auto-tune out of him.

No illegal immigrants were allowed into the wedding.  When President Obama learned of this outrage, he vowed to sue Hillary, Bill, Chelsea, Marc, Rhinebeck, the State of New York and… the State of Arizona.  “I hate that state,”  Obama said.

President Obama gave Chelsea and Marc a Chevy Volt as a wedding gift (but they won’t be getting the government refund).

What did everyone wear?  The bride wore a strapless Vera Wang dress, the groom wore a Christopher Bailey tux and Bill Clinton… went commando.

NEW YORK, NY – Esquire magazine has its own March Madness tournament going. One of the competitors will surprise you!

Esquire magazine has launched its annual “Sexiest Woman Alive” tournament. Setup exactly like the NCAA tournament, with 64 contestants given seeds ranging from 1 to 16. Readers and non-readers alike are afforded the opportunity to go onto Esquire’s Web site and vote their favorites into the next round until a champion is crowned.

Unlike the regional sections in the Men’s basketball tournament, sections in this tournament are broken down into industries. The four sections are Music & Fashion, Television, Sports and Movies. There is never a defending champion because past winners are not entered into the next year’s tournament. Past winners include Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Scarlett Johansson, Charlize Theron and Halle Berry.

The four number 1′s in this year’s tournament are Beyonce, Blake Lively, Megan Fox and Natalie Gulbis. It’s is Gulbis who has the unfortunate distinction of going up against this year’s biggest dark-horse; Lane Kiffin. As what is obviously meant as a joke, Esquire has entered Kiffin into the tournament, given him a 16 seed and as of today holds a comfortable lead over Natalie Gulbis.

Kiffin is the newly crowned football coach of the USC Trojans who drew the rage of Tennessee Volunteer nation after his unexpected departure. Kiffin reputation precedes him but it’s not exactly one of high merit or accomplishments. He’s known more for his bravado, trash-talking and for his other half (the better looking one). Regardless, Kiffin has the distinct opportunity to become this year’s “sexiest woman alive” and his fans have the power to make it so!

Other notable entrants include Erin Andrews, Rihanna, Minka Kelly, Lindsey Vonn and Eva Mendes.

WASHINGTON, DC – Bat Boy and Obatma brought their usual mischief to President Obama’s inaugural celebration.

After being bumped from Beyonce’s performance, the pop singer took pity on Obatma, the President’s half bat half brother, and brought him as her date to the Neighborhood Inaugural Ball.  Obatma wore a Calvin Klein version of his standard black suit, which Michelle Obama helped him pick out.  While Beyonce prepared with the tech crew to sing at the event, Obatma played with Sasha and Maliya Obama.

Although security was extremely tight and tickets were incredibly hard to come by, Obatma managed to sneak in the country’s most loveable mutant, Bat Boy, who had endorsed Obama to sway the mutant American vote. According to eyewitnesses, the two climbed up into the rafters and hung by their feet in order to get a better view of the famous dance.

The boys spent the rest of the evening dropping down onto unsuspecting celebrities and running away giggling. Mariah Carey fainted, Sting jumped into his wife’s arms and Jamie Foxx wept hysterically. Obatma handed Foxx chocolate-covered mosquitoes to make amends, which the actor at first didn’t understand, then finally accepted.

The three were later spotted hiding in the lap of the Lincoln Memorial pelting passerbys with snowballs.
