LOS ANGELES, CA — Authorities confirmed UFO sightings over Arizona and Southern  California on Wednesday.

Witnesses described the UFOs as shooting lights with many colors and even a tail.

Authorities and UFO experts from around the country have confirmed that the lights belonged to alien spaceships.  “There are reports circulating that these lights may be from an meteor or a satellite, but we can confirm that they are alien spaceships flying over our Southwestern cities,” said Dr.  Susan Begley of the U.N. Panel on Extraterrestrials.

The first reports came from Riverside County, California around 7 p.m. Wednesday. Within a half hour, several Orange County residents also reported seeing the lights. After about an hour, reports were coming from all over the West.

Most said the lights were “blue and green.” A few described the lights as yellow or orange.

CBS2 and KCAL9 received emails and phone calls from Murrieta, Perris, Irvine, Ontario, Riverside, Lake Forest, Corona and San Clemente.

Additionally, police report they received many calls about the lights. Some residents of Arizona have reported seeing the lights as well.Residents of Nevada, many in Las Vegas, are also reporting the green-blue lights in the sky.

Several days ago, NASA announced a dead satellite would fall to Earth by “September’s end” but so far, no official confirmation if the lights and satellite are linked.  Many a the U.N. feel that the United States government is covering up the UFOs.

“They are definitely alien spaceships – most likely from Planet Zeeba or Planet Xixuc,” said UFO expert and former Russian cosmonaut, Boris Lidsky.

Here’s what some witnesses saw:

John Jacobus of Phoenix: “I was on my cell outside, in City of industry when I looked up and saw the green, orange falling object about 7:40 p.m. As I saw it my buddy was on his way home on the 91 and he saw it at the same time. “

Bernadette Cox:  “I live in Quartz Hill. It was green in color and very large.”

Francesai Martinez: “I live in Chino it looked like a falling star at first and continued on forever with a reddish green tail behind it before it was too low to see anymore. “

Chasen H: “I was on the 405 South and saw a bright light in the east. I thought it was a helicopter with its searchlight on but saw it aim downward, turn green and streak towards the ground. I was at the Carson/Harbor Gateway border at the time.”

Dozens of people reported observing a dazzling, bright light, or lights, streaking across the sky Wednesday night over Arizona and Southern California in what authorities said were likely meteor sightings.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office fielded more than a dozen such calls on Wednesday, and sheriff’s deputies at Deer Valley Airport in north Phoenix reported a sighting themselves, an agency spokesman, Lieutenant Justin Griffin, said.

The deputies described it as greenish light moving across the sky from north to south, he told Reuters.

“It took an unusually long time to get across the sky,” Griffin said. “It’s like a meteor. It’s not like we had any flying objects with little green men or anything like that.”

Sergeant Steve Martos of the Phoenix Police Department said in a statement sent to media outlets that his agency received four calls “regarding the light in the sky,” adding that “Our air unit, myself and other officers observed it as well.

The director of the Griffith Park Observatory in Los Angeles said witnesses were probably seeing “a piece of interplanetary debris” that “passed through the Earth’s atmosphere and burned up.”

But that same director have minutes before told the Russian newspaper, Pravda, that he was sure it was an alien spaceship.

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Sew another star on the flag.  Mexico will become our 51st state in 2012.

State and congressional leaders from California, Arizona, Texas and New Mexico say it’s the only way to solve America’s massive illegal immigration problem.

“Keep the Mexicans from sneaking across the border is like trying to shoo flies off a hog’s back.  We might as well make them U.S. citizens and try to get a little tax money out of the,” said a source close to Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

Officials of the four states bordering Mexico are secretly gathering statehood support for that country because they bear most of the cost of illegal immigration.  President  Obama is fully behind the initiative.

“Pregnant women enter the U.S. illegally so their babies will be born here – and thus become American citizens,” said a congressman who is spearheading the move to Mexican statehood. “Mexican men slip across the border to work.  And a few of them wind up in jail, costing us more than they spend here.

“We’re tired of U.S. taxpayers footing the bill to provide schooling, medical and other help for illegal aliens because the federal government doesn’t enforce our immigration laws,” he added.

The U.S. already spends billions of dollars each year for aid to Mexico’s impoverished 92 million people.

Then, of course there’s NAFTA and the recent Mexican financial bailout that is costing Americans a bundle.

Mexicans are jumping at a chance for U.S. statehood, say sources.  72 percent of Mexicans say they would welcome become a state in the United States.

Some Republicans are objecting to the initiative.  “We should we make them Americans?  Just so they can siesta all day, draw welfare checks, eat tacos and won’t have to worry about border guards leaning on them.  It’s ridiculous.  We’re the only Americans in North America!”

The fruit and vegetable growers strongly oppose statehood for Mexico, afraid that their workers may stay in Mexico.  But, many believe that everybody will benefit from statehood for Mexico.

One sponsor of the bill in the White House said, “the Border Patrol is tired of grabbing illegal immigrants and sending them back to Mexico, and the ones already here, live in fear of being captured, like pre-World War II Germany when the Jewish people had to wear the star of David bands on their arms to announce they were Jewish rather than German. Germans were the ones attempting to make a distinct.  Mexicans are already living and working in the United States. Most of them are working in hospitals, restaurants, landscaping and other service industries. Instead of playing tag at the border with illegal immigrants, it would be simpler to make Mexico the 51st state!”

“Changing border boundaries would eliminate the need to patrol the border and would save a lot of money. Then too, Americans wanting to vacation in Can Cun or other tropical paradises in Mexico, could freely travel to those spots. Then there would be no need to patrol the southern United States border any longer.

“Civil liberties and lifestyles would greatly improve for all Mexicans as the United States could spend its middle east war money on a worthwhile cause – namely, bring Mexico up to the same standard of living as what the Americans have already.”

ARIZONA – Steven Seagal whacked some puppies in his crimefighting reality show.

Jesus Sanchez Llovera claimed his puppies died during an early morning raid on his home by self-styled ‘Sheriff’ Seagal who was filming his reality show ’Steven Seagal: Lawman’.

Mr Llovera’s home in Arizona was set upon by volunteer officer Seagal and a local police chief as they believed he was running an illegal cockfighting ring.

Several of Llovera’s neighbors said that Seagal then came to their houses “looking for puppies to shoot.”

“He was out-of-control.  He wanted puppies and he wanted puppies dead,” said neighbor Junior Diaz.  “He tried to use Kung Fu on them or something.”

Apparently, some of the puppies fought back and one of them, Le Tigre, took Seagal to the mat and pinned him.

Robert Campus, Llovera’s attorney, believes the entire raid was staged to help actor Steven Seagal’s TV show, “Lawman.” Seagal was riding in the tank. The Sheriff’s Department has entered into a contract with Seagal and part of that contract gives Seagal carte blanche to go along with the sheriff as he arrests people.

According to eyewitness reports, Seagal came in with guns blazing and he purposely targeted puppies.

It’s very odd because Seagal recently said that animal cruelty was one of his pet peeves. And this bust was an about animal cruelty.  “He just lost it,” said Diaz.

No one told Seagal that rolling a tank into a living room filled with animals might pose as a threat to, well, the animals. The raid ended up killing hundreds of roosters (looks like Llovera was running a cock-fighting ring after all) and the family’s puppy in the process.  Some puppies tried to run away – that’s when Seagal started shooting.

The fallout of this whole episode? Segal is being sued for more than $100,000 by Llovera, who is also demanding a written apology from Seagal to his children for killing the puppies.

Mr Llovera says his house suffered ‘substantial damage’. He now wants $100,000 compensation plus a written apology from the veteran actor for his children ‘for the death of their 11-month-old puppy, a beloved family pet’.

The Hispanic man also denied there was an illegal cockfighting ring at his home, accusing Seagal and his colleagues of killing 100 prize chickens that were being bred for ‘show’.

Martial arts expert Seagal, 59, has responded by saying that talk of animal cruelty was ‘beyond the pale’.  He also denied killing any puppies – but he is not giving up the tapes of his realty show.

Seagal has teamed up with Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpacio the controversial right-wing police chief who has dedicated much time to rounding up illegal immigrants in the state.

Seagal denies that he also has a vendetta against penguins and teddy bears.  “I love all animals, whether they are stuffed or not.”

Seagal’s lawyer said that his client will prove to the world that he loves puppies.  He is opening the Steven Seagal “I Love Puppies” Martial Arts School in Los Angeles.

PHOENIX – The Arizona Diamondbacks signed Charlie Sheen as a reserve second baseman for the remainder of the season.

Charlie Sheen, who starred in the Major League movies, took a tryout with the Arizona Diamondbacks and the club was so impressed they signed him to a contract for the rest of the 2011 season, as they look to solidify their lead at the top of the NL West.

However,  Sheen took batting practice with the team over the weekend and the former actor damaged his arm and he was forced to watch the game from the stands.  The team expects him to be able to play with the team when they travel to Atlanta next weekend.

The 46-year-old actor, now ballplayer, shrugged off the injury.  ”It’s nothing, I hurt my elbow more jacking off.”

Lyle Overbay, first baseman for the Diamondbacks, welcomes the addition of Sheen.  ”People can say what they want, but Sheen is a damn good ballplayer.  He’ll add depth to our team as we head for the stretch.”

J.J. Putz, the Aritzona pitcher, is a good friend of Sheen.  ”I know Charlie wants to pitch, but he doesn’t have the arm for it anymore.  Maybe ten years ago, he could have pitched.  But, we are happy to have his bat in the lineup and he’s still a great fielding second baseman. We’re thrilled to have him.”

The troubled actor played baseball throughout highs school and college and was drafted by The New York Yankees, but he took the lead in the hit movie Wall Street instead.

The former cocaine addict was so pleased to be offered a contract with the Diamondbacks, that he compared the buzz he got from the news to the high of smoking crack.

PIMA COUNTY, AZ  – The U.S. Department of Interior has released a Chupacabra into Arizona in an attempt to get the State to repeal their new immigration law.

After the U.S. Justice Department filed suit Tuesday against Arizona, Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar had the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service release the Chupacabra or “goat sucker”  into Saguaro National Park in Pima County.  Salazar, acting on orders from President Obama,  said,  “We are encouraging Arizonans to repeal their immigration law before it goes into affect on July 29th, or we will be forced to release more Chupacabras into Arizona towns, cities and Home Depot parking lots.”

Upon learning of the release of the creature into her state, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer was defiant,  “Bring it on! We’ve dealt with aliens, monsters and mutants in Arizona for the last fifty years – especially since Don Imus moved into the state. Arizonans don’t scare easy. The feds can send in a Bigfoot Army if they want, we will take them on.  And we will win!”

White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs, told Wolf Blitzer at CNN, that the U.S. government will use “any means necessary” to get the people of Arizona to comply with U.S. Immigration laws.  When Major Garrett of Fox News pointed out that Arizona seems to be in full compliance with existing federal immigration laws, Gibbs shouted “Chupacabra! Chupacabra! Chupacabra!”

There is a good deal of mystery surrounding the Chupacabra.  Some believe the Chupacabra (much like Immigration Reform) is a myth – something that never has or never will exist.  Some witnesses believe the Chupacabra to be a small half-alien, half-dinosaur, others think he is a tailless vampire with quills running down its back and still others believe him to be a panther like creature with a long snake-like tongue.

State authorities advise Arizona residents to avoid making any contact with the Chupacabra.   Federal authorities, on the other hand, advise Arizonans to approach and pet the Chupacabra.

In related news, Governor Jan Brewer found a horse’s head in her bed when she returned home on Tuesday night.  Authorities have not determined who placed the head in the Governor’s mansion, though one eyewitness said he saw White House Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, riding a donkey nearby.

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah has decided to legalize polygamy for all its citizens.

Utah lawmakers have decided to move forward with a bill that would legalize polygamy.

Current Utah Law (Article 3) states that ”polygamous or plural marriages are forever prohibited.”  But according to Article 3, you can hold whatever religious beliefs you want.  Utah will never prosecute you for your religious beliefs. However being a polygamist and acting upon your beliefs is completely out of the question.

That’s been the conundrum for Utah lawmakers… until now.  “We have to change the laws to match the beliefs of our citizens and a man having more than one wife, just makes sense!”, said Utah Speaker of the house, Blake Smith (D).

Over the years, authorities have looked the other way with regard to polygamous behavior and have instead focused on any abuse of children, kidnapping or any other domestic abuse.

Under current Utah Law bigamy is a felony of the third degree.

The news of the new Utah bill coincides with TLC airing its new reality show, Sister Wives, about a man with three wives – and soon a fourth – and his 12 kids.. The man, Kody Brown.  says, “polygamy is just another word for paradise.”

The husband is happy. The wives are happy. The children are polite and helpful.   “It’s perfect, it’s heaven,” said Brown.  “Variety is the spice of life and… I am enjoying my life.”

Advertising salesman Brown lives somewhere in Utah with Meri, his wife of 20 years, Janelle, his wife of 17 years, and Christine, his wife of 16 years. “I like marriage, and I’m a repeat offender,” he says.

He identifies himself as Mormon, though he is not a member of the mainstream faith that has banned “the lifestyle,” he notes.  “The lifestyle.” You’ll hear that expression tossed around a lot in the one-hour premiere.

The wives are the biggest advocates, arguing it guarantees security to their children. If one of them were to die, the other wives would step in to raise the kids. The extended clan lives in a large house that is subdivided into separate but adjoining apartments for each of the wives and their children.

“Look, it’s better for women to share one stable, solid, good man than to be with a no-good man who can’t even support himself.   It’s the way the world is supposed to work.  Women want men with money, power and status and men want variety and beauty.  Polygamy is the natural way for human beings to mate, have a family,” said Monica Creighton, another polygamist in Utah.

Utah lawmakers hope to have the bill ready to be signed by Governor Gary R. Herbert by December.  They expect a large influx of new residents.

PHOENIX – A large dust storm has buried Phoenix!

The storm traveled across The Valley of the Sun at 70 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service. It originated near Tucson and reached metro Phoenix about 7:30 p.m.

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport was shut down and over 300 airplanes are now considered “missing.

The dust storm also caused all communication and satellite equipment to fail. It’s impossible to get in touch with anyone in Phoenix.

Strong winds snapped trees like toothpicks. Houses were blown away in dust balls.

The towering dust cloud that hit the area had originated in an afternoon storm in the Tucson area before moving north across the desert, said National Weather Service meteorologist Paul Iniguez.

Before bearing down on the Phoenix valley, radar data showed the storm’s wall of dust had reached as high as 15,000 to 20,000 feet.

The dust storm soon blanketed the entire city.  It was part of the Arizona monsoon season, which typically starts in mid-June and lasts through Sept. 30.

PHOENIX -  Arizona has purchased 20,000 Martin Jetpacks to patrol the Mexican border.

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer announced today that the State of Arizona bought 20,000 Martin Jetpacks to help secure the Arizona border.  “President Obama isn’t doing anything to help our state control our borders.  If he won’t do anything we will!”

Brewer said the Jetpack Officers will be carrying machine guns and if they see any illegal immigrants running into Arizona, they will shoot them from above.

According to Martin Aircraft Company, Arizona bought the Jetpacks after they learned that Los Angeles had bought 10,000. Coupon 44MD32

“We wanted to sell the first jetpacks to law enforcement officers, so that they would be able to control citizens when they took to the air.,” said Martin Jetpack spokesperson, Susan Begley.

Prior to the Martin Aircraft Company’s Jetpack, “no other jetpack has flown higher than 150 feet and no one has ever fired a parachute from a jetpack,” said company founder Glenn Martin.

Martin has spent at least $12 million dollars over 30 years of research and development on the jetpack that he hopes will change the way we all travel.  It will be available for commercial sale in September of this year and is expected to sell for around $25,000.

EXCLUSIVE – Sarah Palin told WWN’s Frank Lake that she is running for President in 2012!

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, is starting her national bus tour on Sunday.  Embedded on her bus is WWN’s Frank Lake.  Palin shocked major media outlets when, in a private interview with Frank, she said she is “absolutely running for President of the United States in 2012.”

“And I’m going to kick Barack Obama’s butt!” Palin said.

The bus tour, officially launches her Presidential bid.  It starts on Sunday in Washington at the annual Rolling Thunder motorcycle rally and will work its way north along the East Coast.  The Presidential candidate will visit other parts of the country later, stopping at symbolically important sites in the nation’s history.

Palin advisers told Frank Lake that she will stop in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina – on the bus tour.

 The bus tour will include a stop in New Hampshire.  Tim Crawford, Palin’s campaign manager declined to give more details.  He would only say, “She wants to get people fired up about her running for President.”

Palin told Frank Lake that she wants to win in November.  Lake told her that the election isn’t until 2012.  “Oh, well, I will win then, too.  I will win every year.  This is America. You can do anything!” Palin said.

On her web site, Palin wrote: “I’ve said many times that America doesn’t need a ‘fundamental transformation,’ instead we need a restoration of all that is good and strong and free in America!  So, I am running for President of the United States in 2012.”

Chris Christie, Mike Huckabee, Mitch Daniels and Donald Trump immediately threw their support behind Sarah Palin.

“She’s going to make a great president,” said Trump.  “And she’s hot.  That can’t hurt.  You know, hot is good. I’d hire her on that alone.”

HUALAPAI INDIAN RESERVATION, AZ — Swiss adventurer Yves Rossy has completed a flight over the Grand Canyon.

Yves Rossy performed the stunt Saturday with little fanfare, before a small group of team members. He was airborne for about eight minutes, soaring 200 feet above the canyon rim on the Hualapai Reservation.

A planned Friday flight before reporters was cancelled after Rossy determined it would be too challenging without any practice runs. The Federal Aviation Administration had given him the green light less than an hour before the scheduled stunt.

Rossy’s sponsor, Swiss watchmaker Breitling, announced the successful flight Tuesday. Rossy flew up to 190 mph before deploying his parachute and landing on the canyon floor.

The 51-year-old has rocketed over the English Channel and Swiss Alps in his wing suit. He says the U.S. flight is among the most memorable experiences of his life.
