NEW YORK, NY – A growing body of evidence indicates that some animals are evolving so rapidly they now pray to a Supreme Being!

Theologians are baggled, but many admit privately that this stunning turn of events should come as no surprise.

“Animals are God’s creatures too,” says Berlin-based biblical scholar Otto Kruger, who is currently writing a book on the phenomenon. “Perhaps mankind has become too arrogant to remember that our species is only a higher form of animal.”

The stunning disclosure is receiving wider acceptance than expected. Wildlife photographers like Italy’s Eduardo Vulpe say it comes as no surprise. “During my 32 years of photographing animals in the wild, I have seen large groups of primates sitting quietly and apparently communing with something,” said Vulpe, 53. “I’ve seen the same thing with big cats.

“And once I slipped up on a group of zebras so intent on something I couldn’t see, that they let me come right up to them. After about an hour they snapped out of it and bolted away, but it was an experience I’ll never forget. They appeared to be praying.”
