BRETT FAVRE RETIRES – AGAIN

NEW YORK, NY – The Brett Favre saga may be finally coming to an end – but we’ve been down this road before!
Brett Favre is retiring – again. The future Hall of Fame gunslinger has had the NFL world on the edge of their seats the last three summers – over the same topic. Favre loves football like a fat kid loves cake. At 40, however, it may finally be time to hang up the cleats. Favre has announced that he will be retiring.
Favre reportedly has told the Minnesota Vikings officials and teammates that he will not be returning to the purple and gold for another season. This upcoming season would have marked his 20th in the NFL. The Mississippi man had ankle surgery this summer, but feels like the ankle isn’t healing like he’d hope and it’s time to move on.
The decision is one that comes as a surprise – despite Favre’s flair for the dramatic. He’s coming off one of his best seasons and led the Vikings to the NFC championship where they lost to eventual Super Bowl champions New Orleans Saints.
Vikings coach Brad Childress said he has not been told by Favre that the QB plans to retire.
The summer isn’t over yet and Favre has plenty of time to change his mind. We’ll set the over/under at 3 preseason games before Favre decides to lace them up for his 20th season.

  1. The rumor I have heard from the Vikings training camp is that bat boy has been really on the mark and Brett knows he will have to play backup, so instead he is just gonna retire.
