CRISTIANO RONALDO ANGRY AT VANITY FAIR

NEW YORK, NY – One soccer player is less than pleased with his pairing on a recent magazine cover!
Cristiano Ronaldo is the world’s highest-paid soccer star and arguably the best player. Not even his millions and millions in salary could turn his frown upside down over Vanity Fair’s recent cover. Ronaldo is furious at the magazine for putting him on the cover with rival player Didier Drogba, the New York Post reports.
The Real Madrid stud is fuming that after he stripped down to his underpants and showed off his chiseled physique for photographer Annie Leibovitz, the magazine bosses also ran a photo of Chelsea FC striker Drogba on the cover.
The two players have a strong ongoing rivalry and they are set to square off in their opening game of the World Cup on June 15. Ronaldo will be representing Portugal and Drogba will be representing the Ivory Coast. Although Ronaldo plays for Spanish team Real Madrid, both players know each other very well from Ronaldo’s days in the English Premier League playing for Manchester United.
One source told the Post that Ronaldo has complained Vanity Fair widely used his image to market its June issue. Ronaldo reportedly makes US$30 million a year and has recently been romantically linked to Kim Kardashian.
“Ronaldo is freaking out,” the source said. “He says he wants to sue Vanity Fair for using his image to promote the issue everywhere.”

“Even though this is pretty standard practice in the magazine world, he and his managers insist only they have control of his image and where it can be used.”
“But no legal action has been launched, and there are whispers that what really upset Ronaldo was that, having stripped off to his underpants for the shoot in Madrid, he didn’t envisage sharing the cover with another player photographed in Milan.”
While his skill is undeniable, Ronaldo has been known to be somewhat of a diva. Sometimes his talent on the pitch is overshadowed by his theatrics and hysterics. It remains to be seen if this will actually pick up steam. Or if it will just get lost in the shuffle and turn out to be a case of a spoiled soccer star not getting “a call” he wants.

  2. The only reason he seems mad is because the two are rivals….
I don't think he is a diva! He is such a nice and genuine person ( it seems)
maybe he was just confused because he had no idea that vanity fair was going to do that with the cover?
Cristiano dosn't seem like the type of person to get mad because of something stupid like that.

  3. Look here children, and those of you who are clueless. Cristiano is protecting his image rights, like any big name celebrity would do. The world of big name sponsorships are very sensitive to any dramas, or negative spins that may be associated with their client's image because it reflects on their products. An example of this is the pullout of French corporate sponsorship after the World Cup Drama relating to the French Team and their Coach. Vanity Fair's use of Ronaldo's image has obviously irked the football star, his reaction is normal and their use of his image is underhanded.

  4. I think he has every right to be frustrated about a magazine using his picture without him possibly knowing about it. He's an amazing soccer player and that's what matters at the end of the day.

  5. Why would they put this ugly a$$ next to Cristiano? I'd be mad too! You have someone really hot, next to someone ordinary. Its easy for balck guys to get muscles. I went to school with black boys that got muscular just with the exercise of gym class. It's like in their dna!!! So don't even start comparing saying that they both have a nice body. And soccer is not applicable here. The cover of Vanity Fair is ALL ABOUT LOOKS.

  6. Definitely believe that which you said. Your favorite reason appeared to be at the net the simplest thing to remember of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while people consider issues that they just don’t realize about. You controlled to hit the nail upon the highest and also outlined out the whole thing without having side effect , people can take a signal. Will probably be again to get more. Thank you
