EXCELLENT IDEA! NO ONE SHOULD BE OFFENDED. EITHER its O.K. TO DO THIS (or) WHITE people are TRULY racist and still pro-slavery. We can't get REPARATONS and with "FREEDOM OF SPEECH" allowing folks like Rush Limbaugh to degrade OUR PEOPLE,surely the change of PAINT COLOR would only be positive sign that TODAY's UNITED STATES is TRULY for ALL RACES. RIDICULOUS, OF COURSE!!! What kind of idea is this??? This is AMERICA with religious freedom for ALL RELIGIOUS DENOMINATIONS, not only ONE religion! I definitey agree with Artsynew that "the White House belong to the USA and not to the "reigning" president." Changing the American tradition will destroy us all!! People from all over the world came to America for their freedom/ No more taxpayers' dollars for painting the White House green.
Green is not the American color. Red, Blue, and White are the true American colors and they should remain loyal, not green. Does this mean the American flag would change from the traditional red, blue, and white colors to green color??? NO WAAAYYYY!!!!!

RIDICULOUS! I think this is just another excuse to spend more taxpayers' dollars like they have been doing. It may be a game in which one of them can spend more money faster.
Yes, the White House belong to the USA and not to the "reigning" president. Michelle Obama is called a First Lady only because she happens to have been married to the man that was elected to be president, not because the voters liked her decorating sense. It seems that every woman that gets to the White House can hardly wait to spend millions like the husband and change the decoration as well as her expensive dresses.
It would be nice if it were as easy as changing the channel, rewind and convince some honest people that really have interest in bettering the country to run for the presidency, but it seems that any honest, decent and unselfish human being has more common sense than getting involved in politics. So, what do we have left?

I do not believe that First Lady Michelle Obama would ever even entertain such a ludicrous suggestion from anyone. The Whitehouse belongs to the United States of America and its legal citizens that have voting rights. The Whitehouse is a National Historical Institution along with the Capital Building, the Pentagon and our American Flag. To change the color of the Whitehouse would be an act of blasphemy against America and its citizens (its taxpayers). This type of act would have to be voted upon by the Citizens of the United States and then be put before such bodies as the House of Representatives, Congress, the Senate and the President … which would cost the United States of America/taxpayers over one billion dollars. No, I do not envision First Lady Obama as being that kind of a looney tune. Time to change this channel and … "That's All Folks!" Sentimental Me
