PRESIDENT OBAMA KNOCKS APPLE

HAMPTON, VA – President Obama took a “bite” out of Apple!
President Obama gave the commencement speech at Hampton University on Sunday. The speech contained a number of talking points which included jokes, thanking of mothers and dissing the iPad and Xbox.
“You’re coming of age in a 24/7 media environment that bombards us with all kinds of content and exposes us to all kinds of arguments, some of which don’t always rank all that high on the truth meter,” Obama said in his speech.
“With iPods and iPads and Xboxes and Playstations, – none of which I know how to work – information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation,” the president continued.
President Obama went on to share his displeasure with media outlets such as blogs and talk tad outlets that can give traction to the “craziest claims.”
“All of this is not only putting new pressures on you, it is putting new pressures on our country and on our democracy,” Obama added.
It seems as though that the president essentially called Apple’s iPad useless and that it is hurting democracy and the youth. Probably not the PR that Steve Jobs was looking for. Perhaps Jobs, his staff and the overprotective Apple organization will be sending President Obama a letter asking for an apology.
Obama went on to stress the importance of education, that it could “fortify” an individual and that dating back to the early days, education has been the key to progress and US Democracy. Hampton University, a historically black college, was also given a challenge by the president. Obama urged African Americans to close the educational gap between themselves and other racial groups in the United States and the world.

  1. Obama should give free educations at Hampton University to all the unemployed. It would be a lot better for our country than endless unemployment
