The resolution passed by the TN legislature specifies that no state funds will be used to build or acquire the statues (for Cordell Hull and Algore). I guess Tennesse is no different than most places where you can get politicians to go along with any nutty scheme as long as they don't have to stand up and vote to spend money doing it. At least that's a modicum of somewhat favorable news. As a true conservative and lifelong Tennessean I know only too well what a complete doofuss Algore actually is. Please do not judge all of us Tennesseans by Algore. After all he was actually born and raised in Washington D.C. and only claims Tennessee as a political convenience.

Actually if you read the news you would know that there is plan through the state to build a statue as well for Cordell Hull, a former Secretary of State who won the Nobel Peace Prize for his hand in starting the United Nations. He too was from Tennessee. That is, if you can read.

The good news? A prospective pigeon fart tax.
But wait, how does one hook up fart receiver stations under those feathers?
Also – wasn't Al the first wind tower to be erected? If so – hooked up to a hose, this blow hard should easily generate enough energy – solo – to fuel all that goes with the making of and maintenance thereon – of said statue.
Oh wait – isn't Al a statue?

Okay enough with the Tennessee bashing. The truth be told we are building that statue to try and keep old Al out of trouble. You know how these liberal types are with self worship and all we hope he'll just stand there and stare at it maybe keep him busy washing off the pigeon poop.
