750 POUND SHARK

750_pound_shark

EVERGLADES CITY, FL – A group of Florida men videotaped and caught a 750 pound mako shark!

Jamie Bunn, Danny Massa, Jeremy Huston and John Monti went swordfishing on Saturday, off of the Point Everglades Inlet. About 18 miles offshore, they noticed a dead swordfish floating in the water, being circled by a mako shark.

The men decided to lasso the dead fish and draw it up against the boat, so they could get a good look at the shark. Angry over the loss of its food, it began biting the boat’s exhaust and propellers!

After much struggle, they were able to get the shark gaffed and tied. But after almost three hours, they were unable to get it into the boat. “We realized we had a fish well north of 600 pounds when we couldn’t get it in the boat,” Bunn said.

The four men decided to just tie it to the back of the boat and tow it into the marina, where it weighed in at 748 pounds!

    you absolute cunts

  2. Ninja says:

First off , the shark did pose a threat . He/she was about to pull off the boats propellers and eventually sink the god-damn boat . Secondly , it never said the shark died and it never said they didn’t return it back into wild-life. And thirdly , if they did kill the shark, notice that , at first, they were going sword fishing which is when you catch a sword fish and take it in for meat so what makes it less likely that they did the same for the shark ? I am not saying what they did was wrong or right (Depending on exactly what they did;this article is very vague) I am saying that people must read things with an open mind and not a hideously disfigured one . We all (hopefully) went to school for a reason .

sooo… everyone thinks this one is real? REALLY?

  4. josh says:

what if it will eat ypu m***n???hahha

  5. Future Zoologist says:

@Ninja because the shark lost it's food because the 4 people took it. Come on a Nine year-old can figure it out (not saying I am I just knew when I was nine).

  6. Saketomi says:

That shark was just lucky there wasn't any shark ass kicking eagles around.

  7. You idiots says:

you guys are all idiots. If you watch the video and know about fish, you see that the fish that they tied to the side of the boat is a tuna of some sort (look at the tail). It's a fake video composed of numerous other videos.

  8. pokute says:

I killed one twice that size using nothing but a pop top tab. Wimps!

Who else wants to get a $999 Mac for under $200? I got mine for $129.75 but that’s nothing compared to my cousin’s Sony (52 inch) that he got for $142.31 it’s so much fun getting such cool stuff for so cheap, when other people pay full retail! I’m getting such good deals that I’m making good money selling this stuff on to my co-workers. I use to sites, both are good, http://www.SwipeBay.com

  13. Jaron says:

They shouldn’t have killed the fish it was havin its meal they were lookin 4 their’s no problem

  14. ito says:

look like a happy meal :D

  15. Me. says:

Wow what an acheivement! its amazing how many ignorant d*cks there are in this world. "Looks like a tasty shark" etc…
does it make any sense to you that the guys who "caught" this shark had no reason to do so at all. The shark was in it's OWN habitat before these d*cks came along in their boat and decide it's their job to kill it for 3 hours then drag it back to a marina to show it off and for what? A f*cking photo and a 10 second video on CNN?
"Hey look guys, there's a shark! Oh wait it's attacking our propeller because we pretty much drove into it, we better kill it because it might damage the boat!" D.U.M.B.F.*.K.S!

  16. Resimleri says:

Man. I don't want to be in the sea with it.

  17. chris armstrong says:

    I agree, morons!

  18. jbf says:

I fish, and I totally agree. Probably 4 drunk morons, surprised they didn't hurt themselves. You know they didn't go off shore and drop the carcus off. Again probably went a mile or so and dumped it. It will wash ashore within a week, watch and see. morons

  19. pmd says:

I doubt they did it just to weight it. Mako shark is better than swordfish as table fare. There aren't too many fisherman who would turn down Mako steaks.

  20. JMARKS says:

    EXACTLY! MORONS.

  21. Kim says:

Exactly where in the article did it say they killed it? And just how did they kill it?

  22. JMARKS says:

    EXACTLY! MORONS.

    JM

  23. Dave the Slave says:

They did'nt even catch it. they had to lure it over to their boat by taking it's food from it!

  24. Patrick says:

Way to go guys.Beat your chest over a picture on the wall.

  25. blp says:

anything that will kill you ,you should be able to kill,an eye for an eye…

  26. thorodyssy says:

There is something seriously wrong with some humans. Sharks have the right to feed themselves, just as humans do. Do those fisherman really believe they did a commendable thing ?!? I bet they are all vegetarians or better yet vegans (yeah, right). It's high time humans realize members of the animal kingdom have rights. It's our duty as humans to share the Earth with ALL other animals. So – called intelligent humans, killing/abusing just because they can; reprehensible, sickening, selfish, self-righteous, the list goes on and on…That video is beyond disturbing, it saddened me to watch… I couldn't finish watching. When are fisherman & hunters going to do the right thing? Do humans need another century of evolution to finally become intelligent and merciful enough to make the responsible, caring changes necessary to coexist with all forms of life? I hope not…

  27. Signlnco says:

First off, the news never gives you everything about an article so it is just wrong to jump to conclusions that these people just killed the fish for fun. Having dealt with the media on numerous occassions, I have always seen how they never tell the whole truth of a story. They only tell you what they think you want to hear. Who is to say that these "fisherman" didn't decide to catch the shark for consumption. They were out fishing for the day. Perhaps they just didn't have the right equipment to catch such a large fish and just decided to try and catch it the old fashion way (hook and rope). Marko Shark is a great tasting fish and is well consumed in the US.

  28. fudgeyboy says:

WTF is wrong with these people? How can anyone in their right mind condone the killing of a beautiful, endangered creature? Morons!

  29. Rob says:

No, it wasn't killed just to weigh it. Makos are the best eating sharks. They taste like swordfish. No, they aren't endared either.

  30. sal says:

    you're a douche

  31. kit says:

Just a group of idiots who have no regard for marine life. I guess they feel like tough guys!

  32. eric kruger says:

cant eat it alive as much as some of you peta fools think!! "that would be unethiclal" . Mako is good on the grill and good for you.

  33. curtis altheim says:

typical asses. when will people realize that they are destroying a species that keeps the oceans clean. that mako was probably 30 years old to get that big. without the sharks watch what happends to the oceans. I'd like to hang one of them from a line.

  34. Big Mama says:

Aren't there starving homeless people somewhere? Maybe the meat from this animal could be used to feed them……

  35. @jackiecoupe says:

surely the animal could have been sedated and weighed then left to go on it's merry way?

  36. Luke says:

Definitely morons. If you were a 750 pounds and a bully tried to take your lunch money I'm quite sure you would be pissed too.

  37. neal says:

    totally agree

  38. guest says:

Why don't you people eat some more lettuce and tie you plastic shoes and go to the mall. crap

  39. Kyb says:

Come on, if you follow that logic, we should be able to kill any human being we see walking the street. An eye for an eye only applies if it has actually done something to you. This creature was minding its own business until a couple of guys who had "prove" they were "men" killed it. Bet they had big trucks too.

  40. mcA says:

an eye for an eye is when someone or something does something to you and you do something equal in return. so what did the shark do mr. eye for an eye? exist?

  41. Adam says:

You're mental! If you go into their home, the ocean, you assume ALL risks. The day a shark walks into your home and attacks you, you can claim the eye for an eye defense.

  42. Beth says:

Yea, but the animal wasn't bother them, so they should have left it alone!

  43. Shannon says:

Idiot. The shark was posing no threat to the humans.

  44. mcA says:

well. do you think they just let a shark that big go in the marina or gave it a ride home? I highly doubt it… and to answer the other part or your ? they probably cut its throat and bled it out.

    Arent Americans Awesome

  45. Drew says:

"After much struggle, they were able to get the shark gaffed and tied"
Google 'Gaff' – It's a barbed steel hook that is slashed into the fish's mouth or gills so that you can pull it out of the water. Very nice. An humane, to boot.

  46. elena says:

    got any better ideas?

  47. Signlnco says:

hmm…they had to lure it…….sounds like fishing to me, just without using a rod and reel. Think about it. A rod and reel with bait on it is the same, you are luring a fish to come close so you can hook it……. sounds like what they did, the shark was hooked (gaffed) when it came close to the bait……

  48. Tim says:

Mako's aren't endangered, in fact you can buy a steak at your local seafood resaurant for 16.99.

  49. DestinDiamond says:

Mako is tasty but are we share that this was a mako?
    Also where do you shop?
16.99 seems like a lot for a piece of fish.
fish is brainfood after all though

  50. johnny do good says:

so you would let this shark eat you, as a caring coexiting creature?
