I read Bernie’s biography and one of his constant refrains was how he failed to impress his father before his passing. I remember on poignant passage in the biography “that monocled bastard never said anything positive about me and too make matters worse he only wore that monocle as an affectation to look different, he was a ruthless man that kept telling us all “you need to take more chances and quit relying on the community chest for handouts”.

I hope Bernie is getting some solace in knowing that some of us understand his reasons for his actions.
