Oscar Pistorius was released on bail until the trial for shooting dead girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. And then took off into the South African jungle!
The Paralympian bent his head and sobbed as Magistrate Desmond Nair delivered his decision following four days of dramatic testimony at Pretoria Magistrate’s Court bail hearing.
After he left the courtroom, he reportedly put on his blades and… took off. Nobody could catch him. The local police even released a police cheetah to try to catch him – but Pistorius was too fast.
“He just needs to spend some time in the jungle and get his head together,” a source close to Pistorius said. “He’ll be back. The Blade Runner always returns home.”
Pistorius, 26, is charged with one count of premeditated murder over the February 14 killing of the FHM cover girl. He says the shooting was accidental because he thought she was a dangerous intruder inside his home. Here is his accounting of the shooting:
Pistorius has been held at a police station in Pretoria since last week, but suspects who are denied bail are typically held in a prison.
Police in Pretoria were blamed for giving Pistorius his blades. “They should have just given him his prosthetic legs. There was no reason for him to have his blades, especially his motorized blades,” said a source in the courthouse.
The prosecutor had tried to keep Pistorius in jail saying he had the ‘money, means and motive’ to flee if given bail, and described how WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was just as well known, but had avoided bail by seeking refuge in London’s Ecuadorian Embassy.
And the Prosecutor was right. Pistorius is on the run… on the blades.
This murderer is going to get off the hook! People feel he is so inspiring by overcoming his handicap that he couldn't possibly have committed this atrocity. Watch as the case falls apart and he walks free.

My prayers are with the Steenkamp family and with thePistorius family. I believe Oscars story. It's all a horrific tragedy. A beautiful young woman is dead and even if Oscar does walk free, his life will never be the same. He will have to live with the fact that he took the life of someone he said he loved. This is a very sad end to two extraordinary lives. May God be with Reeva's family and give them peace . To Oscar ….. If God is for you, He is more than the world against you. Be strong and pray without ceasing.
