SEND YOUR RESUME TO THE WHITE HOUSE

The Obama Administration is reportedly asking Americans to send their resumes to the White House.

On Monday, President Obama held a town hall, through Google +. He fielded video questions from people ranging from homeless veterans to an Obama impersonator.  One interaction that has been making the internet buzz, was when a Republican woman asked the President why H1B Visas are being issued when there are unemployed engineers, like her husband, who’s a semiconductor engineer.

Obama was visibly surprised about her husbands predicament and asked the woman to send him her husband’s resume so he could help him find a job.

Obama at first, answered the jobs question from Jennifer Wedel, of Fort Worth, Texas, with a stock answer, telling her, “I don’t know your husband’s specialty, but there’s a huge demand around the country for engineers,” especially in high-tech fields. But Wedel persisted, telling Obama that her husband is a semiconductor engineer.

Obama went on to say:  “I meant what I said, if you send me your husband’s resume, I’d be interested in finding out exactly what’s happening right there,” Obama responded, saying it seems to him based on industry reports that Wedel’s husband “should be able to find something right away.”

“I’ll have to take you up on that,” Wedel said of the president’s offer to help her husband, Darin, who lost his job at Texas Instruments three years ago.

Here’s the video:

Since Monday, the White House received Darin Wedel’s resume and is trying to place him in a private sector job.  The White House had so much fun doing so, that they are becoming “head hunters” for Americans of all ages.

“We think that we can be an effective employment agency,” a source close to a White House insider told WWN.   “The President doesn’t want to simply create jobs, he wants to place Americans in jobs – personally.”

President Obama  has created a Resume Czar who will be tasked with the job to sift through all the resumes from Americans and work to place them in a jobs that have solid benefits and good pension.

“We are trying to hire as many people as we can in the government, but for those that want to work in the private sector, we think we can help there too,” said the White House source.

Make sure your resume is perfect before you send to the White House.  Here’s an example of a perfect resume:

  1. Wow! Someone has breeched the Barack Obama barrier of discussing the H1B visa, and other work visas including the OPT visa, the L1 visa, the "B1 in lieu of H1B" visa, etc. So President Obama's defense is ignorance? Do I believe it? Hell no I don't believe it. Will I accept it? Sure, I will. Now lets start putting US STEM workers back to work!

President Obama likes to compare himself with other presidents because he claims to possess their same attributes. For instance, President Obama compared himself with Abraham Lincoln because Lincoln surrounded himself with advisors having different opinions.

On this issue, Obama has surrounded himself with billionaire campaign contributors who have become wealthy by replacing US STEM workers with cheap entry level third world workers. Now Obama pleads ignorance for not knowing about the injustice of these work visas. Now he pleads ignorance of the devasting effect that these visas have had on disenfranchised US STEM workers all across America.

So Obama pleacs ignorance, huh? Well President Lincoln would not have been ignorant. Lincoln truly surrounded himself with advisors having opposing opinions. Barack Obama, however, surrounds himself with billionaire financial contributors who have become wealthy replacing US STEM workers with cheap entry level third world workers.

  2. You seriously think Obama knows or even cares about immigrat work visas. A group of angry non voters. He has people for boring things like that. What his is, is a brillaint speech giver. By taking personal interest in some random person he won over the crowd. That is all he was trying to do.

POSITION STATEMENT of the American Engineering Association, (9/23/06) Rev. 11/01/09
IMPROVE UTILIZATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE AMERICAN PROFESSIONAL WORK FORCE AND OPPOSITION TO IMPORTING FOREIGN WORKERS
We believe the public policy of the United States should be to rely primarily upon U.S. workers for our supply of engineers and scientists. This Position is in response to false claims that America faces shortages of Engineers, Programmers and high tech professionals and companies must resort to importing foreign workers to meet demands.
In order to improve the utilization of American Engineers, Scientists, Programmers, Mathematicians and high tech (STEM) professionals we must first provide them with jobs and the opportunity to enhance their skills.1 To accomplish this we need a balance between the supply and demand of our skilled professionals.
AEA strongly opposes the importation of foreign Engineers, Scientists Programmers, Mathematicians and high tech (STEM) professionals. Evidence clearly shows foreign workers (H-1B, L1 etc.) are imported for the purpose of reducing labor costs and offer no skill advantages over our American professionals. In many cases…………..
