TEXAS – A massive swarm of killer bees attacked several towns in Southern Texas, killing over two hundred people.
The first incident happened last Friday. A swarm of bees attacked an elderly couple at their South Texas ranch, killing both and injuring their son, officials said.
Tommy Morton, 76, was spraying insecticide on a bees’ nest when the bees attacked him, his 66-year-old wife, Shelly Morton, and their daughter Maggie, according to Jim Hogg County sheriff’s deputies.
Tommy Morton was spraying to kill bees that had built a hive in his attic when and they attacked him, and then went after his family The Morton family was pronounced dead at the scene after each having been stung over 500 times.
The bees, who seem to have orderly battalions, are attacking citizens throughout the county.
“It was horrifying, you couldn’t even seen the sky there was so many of them,” said Sally Jenkins. “It was like a storm was moving in. We all just ran to get inside, but if you had a window or door open, they came in. I lost three friends.”

Sheriff Ramon Espinoza has his Deputies out trying to kill the killer bees with everything they have: “We are getting stung, but we all got anti-killer bee injections, which were provided by the State. It works. So far.”
The bees were thought to be heading toward Oklahoma, but now seemed to be heading northeast. “Looks like they’re heading up to Washington DC,” said Caleb Boozman. “That’s be a good place for them to go.”

What a crock. we live with bees in our garden in south africa, just leave the bloody creatures alone. You die if you drink too much water as well!!!!
Why can't I read anywhere else about the killer bees attacking and killing "over 200 people" on CNN or any other major news media? What are the names of the towns in Texas where this took place? What are the names of the 200 victims who died? Is this a joke or some really bad typo error of how many people actually died?!? If this is a true story…then this info should be posted as a warning… same as you would warn people about an oncoming tornado! This news story Tap Vann wrote is tooo vague. Shame on Mr. Tap Vann to frighten people with such BS! Phiffft!
I would like to add that IF Mr.Tap Vann's news story is correct and the rest of the major news medias are keeping 'hush' about this tragic event as to not frighten the public…then I applaud his brave reporting to give mankind a heads-up on this dangerous situation! I hope we can get more 'detailed' information 'soon' from any of the people who reside at "several towns in southern Texas" to keep us posted as to the outcome and or ongoing nightmare crisis!
I have limited knowledge of this bee, quite terrifying, shouldn't they be all destroyed?
Killer Bees maybe no problem if you get caught in their territory, just make sure all your body is covered, and make not too much motion, wear gloves and something over the head, nose and mouth instead of fighting them. The average human fights attacking things in the air without thought.

I am a beekeeper in South Texas. We have been dealing with the africanized bee (killer bee) since the early 1990's. They are more defensive than the european bees we maintain in our colonies. They attempt to invade our colonies on a regular basis and we have had to change some of beekeeping practices in order to deal with them. In addition, the general public has learned how to live with them. The scarry thing is this article written by Tap Vann. Stating that massive swarms have invaded entire towns with orderly battalions attacking citizens is a blatant fabrication. It is shameful that anyone would intentionally frighten the public with such sensationalist writtings, however, many of the people who read this will take it as fact.
