FACEBOOK "DISLIKE" SCAM

PALO ALTO, CA – There isn’t much to “like” about a new Facebook feature!
Facebook has evolved a lot since its launch in 2004. With the social networking site attracting more than 500 million users, there has been a plethora of ideas over the years. One of the most popular has been the “like” feature – a quick and easy way to show agreeance over a users post.
The “like” feature has paved the way for a movement to establish a “dislike” button. It seemed as though that wish was granted – but it was with malicious intent. The latest and biggest scam sweeping Facebook is the “dislike” button.
“A message will appear on a Facebook member’s account: “I just got the Dislike button, so now I can dislike all of your dumb posts lol!!” Or “Get the official Dislike button now.”
As they say, curiosity killed the cat, and you will certainly pay for following your curiosity. The messages are not from friends at all, but automated spam using member accounts who have already been duped. Once the clicked on, you will be transported to a fake Facebook application to download and a fake survey to fill out – that pays the scammers real money. Instead of spreading your dislike, you’ll be allowing the virus into your social network to continue spreading the virus.
The only advice as of now – if you haven’t fallen for the scam – is to stay away from the “dislike” button.
