NEW YORK, NY – One man desperate for love has gone to extremes to find it!
Love is something that we all strive to find, but not everyone finds it. While some wait for love to come find them, others go out there and make it happen. That’s the case with Brian Moore who has started the “Dating Brian” website to allow the public to choose his dates for the next 30 days.
Moore is a Wisconsin native who recently got his heart broken. His high school sweetheart of five years kicked him to the curb, but Moore isn’t spending any time sulking. The 23-year-old arrived in New York City in March, newly single, but lacking the confidence to pursue women. So he used the next best tool at his disposal – the Internet.
“I’m single for the very first time since I was a teenager back in high school,” Moore said. “I went through the entire four years of college with my girlfriend and got out of the relationship as I found myself in New York. It’s like dating shock.”
Moore is working as a summer intern at BBH advertising agency where he was given the challenge of coming up with a project that would get people’s attention. He worked with two colleagues and together they came up with datingbrian.com, which would not only fulfill his boss’ criteria, but also teach him how to tackle New York’s dating scene.
“I don’t pick up girls in bars. I’m not good at that, and that’s not the kind of thing I want to do,” he said. “At least for these 30 days, I’m putting myself on the line. It’s up to the Internet to make the decisions for me, my life is shared with the public.”
His progress can be followed on Facebook, Twitter and via the Web site. Fans are asked to suggest places he can take his dates; they even have a say in whether he’s allowed to ask them on a second date.
