SOUTH PASADENA, CA – A High School student is looking to make Vice President Biden the newest member of his club!
McKay Hatch, a student at South Pasadena High School, founded the No Cussing Club in 2007. The club has grown to include chapters in all 50 states and 20 countries. Hatch also persuaded the California Assembly to approve a No Cussing resolution earlier this month. The club is now setting its sights on its most notable inductee, Vice President Joe Biden.
Biden made news headlines with his ill-advised F-bomb after the passing of the Health Care Bill. Well the No Cussing Club was obviously unappreciative of Biden’s potty mouth and is looking for an apology.
“I was really, really disappointed that our vice president of the whole United States actually said this,” Hatch said.
Hatch’s mission is simple; to clean up America’s language. In addition to the club, he’s written and recorded songs, printed posters and published a book, all of which bring awareness to the issue. Hatch will be sending Biden a T-shirt and a Cuss Jar where the vice president can pay up for every bad word.
“Words have a lot of power and that was one word that obviously offends people and people don’t like,” Hatch said.
Think twice the next time you feel the itch to use a curse word. The No Cussing Club might just be waiting in the shadows to give you a slap on the wrist.
