NEW YORK, NY – A recent study in knockoff perfumes has revealed that they can contain ingredients like antifreeze and urine!
The magazine Harper’s Bazaar recently did a study on the contents of counterfeit perfumes. Many Americans buy them, either on the street or online, as they find brand names to be too costly, especially during a recession.
What they don’t know is how these counterfeit manufacturers attempt to replicate the popular scents with cheap ingredients to keep the price down. Samples tested contained antifreeze, bacteria and even urine!

Some of the stuff I've smelled people wearing does smell like piss, know I know why!!
Even the name brands contain urine. I watched "How it's made" a few months ago and they showed where the company that services those "Porta Johns" takes the waist from their truck and dumps it into a vat and solids are removed, then the urine is heated. It turns to Urea. This product is then sold to manufacurers of perfumes and facial creams. ABC must have gotten paid by the big perfume companies to run this story, because this is not news, and they didn't list the true facts. They all use urea, which is processed urine.
Are you serious! I worked in the fragrance industry for more then 20 years. We follow strict standards concerning every ingredient used to produce perfume and cologne including knock offs. You, sir, are an idiot!!!!!
I've bought a fake cartier baiser du dragon from e bay. This stuff is so bad it has melted the plastic top of the bottle where the liquid has leaked.. My friend came out in an instant blistery rash after touching the bottle and then her neck. The bottle is very clearly a bad fake and i'd lay bets the liquid inside is poisonous or toxic. E bay no help, pay pal want me to verify it's fake but no one wants to touch it or get involved (john lewis). The law is an ass. I'm an even bigger one for thinking i could get a good honest deal.Cartier no answer to e mail. Any one got good advice,help??

How disgusting! There's a high probability average consumer chooses only by smell and look of perfume not looking at contents but even if does, all these synthetic elements can be worded and bear complex names that even knowledgeable person would start thinking twice before buying. I think all these peddlers of knockoffs peddlers would soon go out of business once been exposed by customer or media but the problems is that they can reopen again and carry on with their peddling.
