PORTLAND, ME – A 9 year old boy in Maine has quickly shot to Internet stardom by scoring an impossible hockey goal!

Oliver Wahlstrom is only 9 years old, but he played in TD Bank’s Mini 1-on-1 challenge at the Boston Garden. The event allows 78 exceptional young hockey players from New England to compete against each other for the Mini 1-on-1 trophy.

When his time came, Wahlstrom skates up to the goalie and then shoots the puck behind his back!

Wahlstrom is so good, he plays for the Portland Junior Pirate Pee-Wee Major 97s, which is a team of 12-year-olds in Maine. However, his skills are no surprise, as his father, Joakim Wahlstrom, was a 10-year player for the Swedish Elite League.

The tape of the goal will be played during the first intermission of the Boston Bruins’ game on October 29.
